Another reviewer mentioned that this fans’ inner parts are not sealed and thus rust when exposed to high humidity, resulting in the broken fan sound. I got around this by installing the fan outside the grow tent. So far so good! No issues with this modification!

    • Great Inline Fan !!! Carbon Filter Works Well. Great Bagain Together

This Inline Fan was Super Easy to Install. It included Straps for the Carbon Filter and A Nice New Pre-Filter that fit it !!! The Inline fan does make noise but but not a lot. Vivosun also makes a Noise Reducer You can add to Your Setup as well. Then It would be Even Less Noise. But as is, it's quite manageable !!! Great for Beginners and Anyone Growing. Vivosun has GREAT Customer Service & Warranty department. I have this Setup to exhaust my Vivosun 2.5' × 2.5' Grow Tent and a Vivosun 4" inline for intake of Fresh Air w/Carbon filter to filter outside Air Coming into my Garden. I have the Included Carbon Filter as well on the exhaust. As well as another one @ the end where I vent outside... Can't Smell a thing.. I added a C02 bag & Vivosun Fabric Pots Now My Garden is Thriving !!! Also Not a smell one coming from my Tent except in the room holding the tent when I open/close the main doors. Other than that No One CAN tell !!! Just my experience though but it All Works Great Together !!! 5 STARS ALL DAY LONG CAN'T BEAT THE VALUE FOR THIS PRICE A BARGIN @ THIS $$$ ... show more

I like this 6in fan and filter. Has great suction power. The lowest setting is very strong. The system is pretty loud. If you’re not worried about loud humming sound, this is a good unit.

The fan itself works great but it sounds like an airplane taking off! Set up a small tent in a spare bedroom closet and could hear it rooms away. Expected a much quieter fan. If it’s going to be in your basement or garage it may be okay.

I only used this twice and it started rattling bad and I was scared of a fire. I’m glad I was home and noticed it. I purchased in 2020 but just got around to using it and it dies on September 26 and with just my luck the support window for it closed on September 6th.
