Bought a 2 pair pack in March and installed in my grow tent supporting a 27 pound LED grow light. One of the four I received started having issues with ratcheting and releasing within a month of installation. I figured I wouldn't be adjusting much so I didn't contact vivosun. Well now after three months of use the unit will not ratchet up or release down unless I remove it from use and fiddle with it on my workbench . As soon as I put any tension on the cord it locks up again. I guess I will try a different manufacture to replace these. Vivosun has always been known for quality products of which I have purchased many. This item is a disappointment but I guess I could say 3 out of 4 worked. UPDATE: Contacted Vivosun and explained my issue------within 4 days a replacement 2 pack was delivered. This is what a successful business does by standing behind the product it sells. I have lived my life by the adage " Give everyone the opportunity to do the right thing." Vivosun has proved themselves to be a stand up company that I will continue to do business with.

They are suspending a 16" x 98" custom grow light I built out of metal studs, aluminum duct-work for a reflector hood. I opened my wall, and installed a 10' bank of windows, and needed supplemental lighting. It has 4 - 4' led 6k tubes, 4 - 4' led 4k tubes. Next; I'll be installing 3 - 5k cfl's, and; 8 - 4" 2.7k retro-fit led cans. The whole gizmo will run two separate lighting circuits, with digital timers, and the 8 led tubes will toggle on/off separately, while the cfl's will be constant when the timer is on, and the 8 can's will be switched on/off via two groups of 4. The hangers are awesome! I have two at each end in a cross pattern hang. The whole light project is less than 20 pounds. After I install the center lighting circuits; I'll apply some green vinyl board & batten siding cut-offs, i have, for a finishing touch. There will be roughly 23k to 28k lumens, to choose in combinations.

These are some of the best quality rope hangers I have ever purchased. They’re smoother/easier to use than the $20 pair I bought from my local hydro store. The 1 button system is easy to use by yourself and they seem to be made from strong material. I love the push button feature, I thought it felt flimsy at first and that it was unnecessary as I already liked the design of the last generation, but to my delight they are very good they work great and I have had zero issues with the button and now I am used to it and don't see why I liked the last generation so much! The button function works great and these can be adjusted with perfect ease. Such an improvement on the older style ones you usually see. The button is really a minor improvement on it's functionality but it really pays off big, especially if you have to adjust something frequently. I will only buy this style from now on.

The rope actually snaps before the mechanism fails The mechanism can actually be taken apart and serviced if necessary relatively easily The hooks on either end are not weather proof and do rust then they do not stay closed However the ratchet mechanism showed no sign of corrosion

The metal clamp on the other end of ratchet makes these really sturdy. I feel confident they will hold my lights and fans without coming undone. Other hangers I own are just tied on that end.
