Works just like it should. I have made a hundred pounds of beef jerky with mine so far. Sliced oranges and dried them... was like eating "candy". Definitely buy this product!

This is my first dehydrater. Having had it for a while now, I still really like and use it alot. I do wish the air flow is more powerful. When you get to the 4th and 5th try up, the temperature is notably less. With that I'm glad I did not get the 8 tray option. I really wish it came with a fruit leather tray. I have yet to see an option to buy one separately. I use parchment paper instead. If you plan on making fruit leathers alot...probably a device that comes with such a tray would be better. The trays themselves can get a little frustrating to use when connecting them as you do have to look closely, but really is a non issue. Trays are easy to clean. The bottom of device is more complicated to clean as that is where the motor and electrical wire are connected to but at end of day its only annoying and not a deal breaker for me. Noice level: so it is loud enough where I do not keep this in my kitchen. Sounds like a fan on med or high setting. Edit to add: After a couple months of moderate to heavy use, it stopped generating heat. Their customer support was responsive and fair. ... show more

I had been meaning to try out some food dehydrating as I had not used one since almost 20 years ago. My old one was clunky and not the easiest to use or clean. This one is very smart-looking and much easier to use. It seems very solid and seems like it will last. My favorite thing is to dehydrate fruit and veggies for future use. No better "candy" than munching on some dried berries or other fruit. I'm going to try things that are a bit more complicated like fruit "leathers," and feel confident with this dehydrator. ... show more

I never though of needing / wanting a dehydrator untill doing some research. While im sure there are better/larger dehydrators out there this turned out to exceed my expecations. My first requirement was asthetics and this one earns its place on my kitchen counter. The black and stainless accents along with the clear plastic trays is great. My second requirement was temperature control in reference to noise. Here again its relatively quiet (makes less noise than the fans in my bedroom) and has numerous preset temperatures. Looking at recipe videos of more expensive dehydrators i was skeptical about the ease of cleaning up behind sugary fruuts like tomoatoes and banana as those tended to stick to those individuals trays/mats, however this on nothing really seems to stick to the plastic trays to the extent of the other brands (ive dehydrated beef, tomato, celery, onion, scallions) and trays are very easy to clean. Icing on the cakes was the digital controller and timer so i can sst it and forget it. As long as the motor survives a year or two which i couldnt see why it wouldnt id definitely purchase again. ... show more

I don't use this enough that I just missed the return window by a few days. I regret buying this and wish I had tested out more earlier but didn't have any groceries to dehydrate or the time. I can't for the life of me get fruit leather to be done. Everything else has been toasted vs just dehydrated. Brown toasted. The degrees are odd. As in I need 125° and this only has the choice of 122° or 131°. I have tried several things and this failed. The ONLY upside is the ability to pause the dehydrator while in use, to change temperature, time or add more. Disappointed to have missed the return date because this tiny machine is disappointing. Yes it's tiny and barely makes enough to even have a snack package. Update 5/13/2021, the company seeked out to me with a sincere apology and offered a refund or replacement of my choice in same value. I appreciated that and thank you. ... show more

I love this dehydrator! My parrots are super picky, so I keep trying to find new ways to get them to eat healthy. This machine is compact, easy to use and clean. I made some veggies, apples, and peaches. So far they have loved everything I’ve made ! The apples I made, they ate like chips ! Very satisfied with the product. It came packed in bubble wrap, and arrived with no scratches. The directions are easy to understand and the machine easy to use.
