I realize this bad rail is for a bed for maybe an elderly person, or even a hospital bed, but I ordered this for its intended purpose to keep a 2 year old from falling out of bed. Now, it does function like it supposed to. It keeps her in the bed, and it is easily folded down when not needed. It's decently long and it also features nicely padded bars just in case she were to accidentally roll into it, but that's about where all the good things stop. Now here is where I am docking stars from it. The bed frame we have this installed on is metal, which means I cannot simply just screw these into the slats or the side of the bed without making permanent modifications to the bed frame. They include hardware to secure this rail to the frame, but for us it is not feasible. Right now, this this is just being held by zip ties and the mattress being on top of the handles. This was intended for an elderly person's bed or hospital bed so I have no doubt that this would be right up someones alley if they were purchasing for that reason, but for us it's just going to be used for the little bit of time to get her adjusted to her big girl bed, and then I will be removing it and donating it. ... show more
