    • Lightweight Shaft and Narrow Rotary, Best for Small Areas
This is a pretty nice unit, but definitely more suitable for small areas. I would go as far as saying it’s absolutely NOT for heavy workloads or large areas. The shaft of this tool is quite lightweight, which makes it easy to maneuver, but also adds concerns about about the amount of pressure you can use. In all fairness, it doesn’t claim anywhere in the description that it’s heavy-duty, but given the use of the tool I shouldn't be worried that it might break when in use. The rotary head is designed well and is very effective at breaking hard topsoil and tilling the ground. It’s not very wide, so if you have a larger area it will definitely take time to properly till it. I’m not quite sure why the description talks about “weed removal” as this tool doesn’t really perform that job specifically. The weeding action is a side effect of cultivating/churning soil. This can, of course, be very helpful for weed removal, especially if spray herbicide or weed killer over your freshly tilled ground, but it’s not its primary function. The whole product is easy to assemble and use. It’s useful for small areas, though it could technically be used in larger areas if you are willing to do the work. The quality of the head is decent, though the shaft could really use more reinforcement. I worry that it will end up breaking eventually. I’ll update my review if I run into future issues, but so far I’m just happy to be able to easily till my smaller garden beds with ease. ... show more

    • Perfect companion tool for the garden.
My soil gets very compacted with tons of weeds. I started working some better dirt into the soil last year and will continue this early spring before planting. I've destroyed my last rotary tool last year so I ordered this to replace it. I use both a Stirrup/Hula/scuffle hoe to up root the bigger weeds and in the larger areas but need a rotary tool as well. I have an area I'm working now to get a head start so I ordered this rotary tiller. It arrived needing assembly and took 5 minutes and was ready. Love that I can go with 1 head alone or with all 3 heads installed. Having this option is great for tighter areas. Starting with a bare area, I went with all 3 heads for now. I've added some good garden soil and used the rotary tiller to mix together with existing soil down 3-4 inches for now. Working this rotary tiller is much better than the old one. moves smoothly through the soil and does a great job amending it. With the materials used and overall build, I can see this tool lasting for a long time. Good value. ... show more

    • Well constructed
Everything on this tool is well constructed and it feels like a high quality piece. The stainless steel handle is looks and feels great in your hands and is the perfect length for my 5'10 frame which allows me to stand upright while using it. Even the black grip is made out of a more durable material, not like the cheap foam grips that falls apart after a few uses. The only issue is the thumb screws for the tines can back out after awhile, which can be easily fixed by using blue thread locker (medium strength). I have an older hand cultivator that I use for creating a seed bed for lawn renovations (small areas) and I get amazing results every time. I'll throw seed down on bare, compacted dirt and then use the hand cultivator to break up about the top 0.5" - 1.0" of soil which gives you good seed to soil contact and it also covers up seed at the same time. If the soil is bone dry and hard, it helps to water it lightly before. This will certainly replace my old unit and this should last me a very long time. ... show more

    • Great lightweight tiller
This took all of 3 minutes to 'assemble,' and is very lightweight to handle and maneuver. I am 5'6" and my partner is 6'2", it is comfortable for both of us to use. It is definitely a lightweight tiller, I feel like if I put too much pressure on it the handle would bend, but I haven't tested that. I love that you can use 1 head or 3 at a time, perfect for tighter spaces. This has been a fantastic tool for getting my garden beds ready and I would definitely recommend! ... show more

So, I haven't had a chance to actually use this due to snow and ice, but it looks like a great tool. It was easy to put together, and feels like it is super well made. It isn't lightweight junk at all. I am looking forward to getting some grass seed down after the snow is gone and I expect this will work wonders for me. It is exactly what I was looking for. I'm giving it 5 stars for now, but this is just based on preliminary testing. I will update in the spring when I can actually use it for my project. ... show more

    • Will churn up soil, will not weed for you
This rotary cultivator was easy to assemble and is lightweight. I am 5’4” and have it extended to its longest and it works fine for me. I tried using it on my yard after a good rain and it works as advertised. It will turn up soil a good 1” plus down. If you have hard soil, like I do, you will probably want to use this on moistened soil. It will not weed for you. I have very stubborn weeds including crabgrass, dandelions, and I believe mallow. This cultivator did very little to remove them and I still had to use some force to pull them out of the ground. With the long tines of this cultivator I would have thought that it would have helped in removing weeds. ... show more
