We got this because we liked the size. Sadly, barely 60 days after we bought it we had to stop using it. It would constantly turn on and off by itself and kept tripping breakers. Bottom line, it became a hazard in our kitchen.

True broasted chicken was cooked at 450°F originally. No one does that anymore. When cooked at 450 the bones are emulsified and a drum stick can be eaten nearly like a chicken strip. I was introduced to broadted chicken in Chicago in the late 1950s, early 1960s. This is great for potatoes and other things, but not true broasted chicken. My mistake. I had hoped 392°F (machine max). I was WRONG. This machine would be fine on a stainless steel table/counter for easy cleanup.
