  • Noisy but works great.
Have had this for nearly 1 year now running 24hr/day and every day since the day I got it. Its a little noisy but honestly its not that bad to me. Similar to a box fan on in a room little less noisy actually. I have mine in a 2×4 grow tent and with just one end flap open it still sucks the walls in a little creating negative air pressure which is what I want! For a budget exhaust fan this is honestly well worth it!! ... show more

  • Cheap and cheerful fan
I was having problems with my pipes freezing so I’ve been using this to pump warmer basement air in behind my cabinets while I work on a permanent solution. it’s a little noisy and fragile (it falls apart when you try and move it) but it does the job well for the price if you need a temporary fan. Think I’d buy something more robust if I needed it permanently ... show more

  • UPDATED: VIVOHOME stands behind their products
***UPDATED*** Had some operating issues with the first fan I was sent. Great news though, VIVOHOME has FANTASTIC customer service and offered to send a new unit right away. Their response was very quick, and addressed my concern with urgency. I couldn't be more pleased. The fan doesn't have the strongest pull, but will absolutely move air in a small bathroom/closet. This fan has low power draw and is very efficient. The body is all plastic, and initially seemed fairly quiet. The air draw/current is louder than the fan itself. Probably wouldn't be well suited for long ducting runs and could possible result in a diminished flow; mine is on a very short run. I definitely notice a reduction with an 8 ft tube fully extended. The fan is well priced -- I did a lot of price comparison before settling on this one. It works very well for the price. I am very pleased with the service I received and would recommend this fan to others. ... show more

  • Been running non-stop since 1/22
The media could not be loaded. I use this fan to exhaust my laser enclosure...but I also run it 24/7 to keep air circulating and moving out of my basement for humidity control. It's been running non-stop since January of 2022. It's now October 21st 2023. I definitely got my money's worth. A few things to note in the video: The tape holding the shell together is Gorilla tape. The vent hose I used is solid plastic with steel reinforcement (I had it laying around lol), and HEAVY...the fan wasn't designed to be a structural piece carrying 15lbs of hose weight. It WAS designed however to come apart for cleaning by twisting the shell. I've never had to clean it but it's nice to know I can. It easily vents all the burn gasses from the laser outside without any issue whatsoever. ... show more

  • It works pretty well however it does not seem to last for long.
I ordered one a few months ago because I needed something cheap and thought I would give it a try. It worked well but after 2-3 months it started getting loud and then one day just stopped working. The price was really good so I ordered another one which has been running for just a few weeks and this one is starting to make a the same noise. While the price is great, it becomes more expensive then a better made fan if you need to replace it every few months. ... show more

  • Impeller exploded
Well, that didn't last long. The reviews that mentioned these shattering were not kidding. I had it running for about 6 days and it randomly broke and locked the motor up. One thing that is a positive out of this is that the motor fails gracefully once it locks up. Not a fire hazard. No melting of the plastic mount, so I would say it has a wax temperature fuse in it. The motor draws zero current now. When it worked it was a little weak, but not bad. Pretty quiet, no rattles. Very smooth rotation. I would say it was about 155CFM judging by other fans I've used in the past. I figured when it had arrived in tact upon shipping it would be good to go. Turns out it actually breaks at random while operating! As you can see in my photos the impeller broke directly across two injection dimples molded into the plastic. This may be a common defect. :( Of note, the fan was deployed and never moved touched or bumped in any way once operating. I ran it vertically with the output directed straight upward. The fan sat on top of a 5 gallon bucket and operated with no to extremely slightly restricted flow. The only task the fan had was to create very directional airflow blowing ribbons from behind a prop in a store ... show more

  • Not bad for what i need it for
I've read a lot of reviews and was torn between buying or not. I'm glad i did. too many reviews on this item that it doesn't last. what are you using it for, and air vent for your bathroom. I don't think so. this is a sweet fan for a tent growing plants. don't add a carbon filter, yes it does not have that much suction, but i does have some. and also, I don't run it 24 hours a day. a few minutes for my tent is sufficient. mine hasn't broken yet. we'll see... ... show more
