This thing is fast. It does make snow not crush. What I mean is you need a spoon for this. Perfect for Texas hot summer snack. Wish the machine weighed a bit more it feels a little light weight. The issue that many had with the ice plunger being too small and there fore ice coming out the side seems to have been fixed by and “overlap” of plastic. So no spitting. We do keep a towel under it cause there is always just a little spillage. Mainly use this with ice going straight into the glass. I use the tray to get ice from the freezer.

My wife has always liked to add crushed ice to her drinks, and for years she would just pound the ice with a mallet inside a bag. While that approach worked it was a bit messy, and the texture of the ice that resulted from it was always inconsistent. So, I decided to search for an electric ice crusher here on Amazon and ultimately chose this one. When it arrived it was obvious that it was a rugged, well-built device. Once my wife mastered the proper process to use it she has found the consistency of the ice texture to be excellent, and she is really satisfied with this product. As such, we give this product Two Thumbs Up. Note one final thing though, namely that we found the manual to be a bit lacking in detail so we were directed by the company to a "how to" video that was really helpful. The video link is right below the picture of the ice crusher as the last image shown.

Thing grinds ice fast! Creates more of a snow than it does crushed ice. The two items that could use improvement are that it's a large item. Pretty much the size of a countertop kitchen mixer. Better have some room to store it. The other thing is the ice pusher is a bit too small for the whole it pushes the ice into the blades. The unit tends to spray some of the snow back out toward you. It's not a major issue... just a mention. I have to say that the machine grinds that ice fast... have fun.

This is our second ice crusher. The first was about half the price. Slow,very noisy and cheap design. Lasted about six months. This is a night and day difference. This does in seconds what the old one did in minutes. Low noise and very fine ice. Wife loves crushed ice so it gets lots of use. She is thrilled.

I purchased this machine to use at my school for a fundraiser. I was concerned that it might not be able to keep up with the demand, but it worked as fast as I could load the ice! Keep in mind that it can only contain so much ice at a time, so if you’re busy you’ll be constantly refilling it - which is OK for me because I didn’t want to spend the extra money for the convenience. If that’s an issue for you, consider buying two! You could get two of these machines for the price of one of the larger ones.

If you’re into shaved ice this is a great device to start a small business or just to have around the house for the summer days. Great safety futures, long lasting materials, sturdy. Needs instructions on how to move the blades to adjust the shave ice sizes
