Description
This heavy-duty mount secures your flat screen TV right above the mantel, making viewing sessions cozier than ever. It elevates your screen to a position that is ergonomic, reducing neck, back, and eye strain. Electric height adjustment makes finding the ideal position as simple as pressing a button thanks to the smooth lift system and 101° pull angle! Align the Stencil's bottom edge with the measured height from the Preassembly Chart. Mark drill spots with a pencil. Use a stud finder and level. Drill mounting holes, using anchors if mounting to concrete. Attach mount to wall with included screws. Plug in power cord and snap on plate covers. Press the down button on the Remote and lower the arm. Remove pre-installed Nuts and Washers. Attach the TV Plate using the removed Nuts and Washers. Attach VESA Brackets to back of TV. Remove Nuts from the VESA Brackets and flip open clips. Hang TV onto TV Plate. Close the clips and reinstall nuts.

Mounted above an outside window under a covered portion of our pool patio. Pictures show how everything was packaged in the box from Vivo, then laying together with my 55" TV in order to judge how to mount. As it turned out the VESA hole pattern on the back of the TV (TCL) was very low with the bottom two holes near the bottom edge of the TV, which made it sit high on the mount...not what I had expected or planned for, but the Amazon page for the TV did not offer position of the VESA mounting pattern, just said it had one, so there was an unknown variable here that I knew I was just going to sort out after I had both the TV and the Vivo wall mount. After installing the mount on my exterior wall (concrete & stucco) the mount itself was visible with the TV attached and the TV was very close to the ceiling in the up position. Vivo customer support offered 6-inch extension brackets for $25, and those made all the difference. Now the TV sits lower and completely covers the mount while in the up position, and the TV is 6-inches lower in the down position. I love what this does. It's smooth and quiet going up and down and simply put provided the only way I could figure out to properly mount a TV in the very limited space I had for one. The mount can be programmed through the remote to stop in 2 different "down" positions...I only needed all the way down. It swivels +/- 20-degrees manually and straightens back out by itself on the way up. There is no provision for tilting. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Calls for 2 people to install, but I did it by myself. First shipment of the extension brackets was lost by FedEx, but Vivo was quick to send out a 2nd set when I informed them (shout out to John). All in all this is a 10 out of 10.

I recently purchased the VIVO Steel Electric 37 to 70 inch TV Wall Mount (MOUNT-E-MM070W) for my living room, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This motorized TV mount has been a game-changer, allowing me to enjoy my fireplace mantle while still maintaining a comfortable viewing experience. One of the standout features of this mount is its incredible range of motion. The motorized pull-down function enables me to adjust the height of my TV effortlessly, ensuring that it's at the perfect viewing level when I'm watching my favorite shows or movies. No more neck strain from having the TV mounted too high above the fireplace! Installation was surprisingly straightforward, although I recommend having a second person to help with the process. Keep in mind that you'll need your own power tools for the installation, but the mount comes with all the necessary parts required to secure it to the wall. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and with two people, we had the mount installed and the TV securely attached in no time. I'm incredibly impressed with the sturdiness of this mount. I was skeptical when I saw the price of the VIVO electric wall mount, but after installation it has really blown us away! This product completely changes the usability and level of comfort when viewing a mantle mounted television. We just moved into a new place with only one practical mounting location for a television. The mantle is far too high so we wanted a pull down mount or some kind of similar solution. This mount was very easy to install, especially with the included template and mounting hardware. The sound of the mount moving is very quiet, and there is plenty of adjustability for panning and rotation to get the viewing angle just right. The movement speed might seem excessively slow, but considering the amount of torque being applied to the lag bolts by the combined weight of the television and mount, I think it is a safe and practical compromise. The only thing I don't really like about this mount is how far the tv is from the wall while in the raised position. I don't know if there is a practical way to it improve upon this, but it is the only shortcoming I have found. Overall, this is an incredible value for the features offered. We couldn't be happier with this purchase!

This a good mount. I did not mount it above a fireplace, I wanted to be able to have my TV high when watching movies but lower it to eye level when playing video games. This does that perfectly. I use it to lower the tv about 2 1/2 feet and it would go lower than that if needed. When fully raised the mount is about 6-7 inches off the wall. When lowered it comes out about 18 inches depending on how low you go. There is a tilt feature but only when lowered. When fully raised it will not tilt. The TV is also angled down a few degrees. This does not change when lowered. When fully raised this is fine but It would be nice to have an option to have the TV perfectly vertical when lowered. The motor is a bit slow but that is ok since you're moving an expensive TV. Setting the memory positions makes it easy to have the same placement every time. One issue I ran into was I could not get the TV to raise back up after lowering it the first time. It worked fine without the TV on when testing but when I put the TV on it would not raise, only lower. It took me a while to figure out that the issue was. I tried all the trouble shooting from the manual, unplugging, holding the OK button, checking no obstructions, using the reset button, repairing the remote. Nothing worked. What happened was that because of the placement of the ports on the TV I ran the cables over the top of the mount instead of below and velcroed the cables to the upper arm so they would slip down and obstruct of the motor. On the upper arm is a kill switch. It's small and one of the cables was touching it just enough to engage it preventing it from raising. Repositioning the cable and making sure the switch wasn't pressed solved this issue. It would have saved me a lot of time and headache if this was mentioned in the manual. Overall the mount serves my needs. Being able to make the TV vertical and to allow it to tilt when raised would make it 5 stars.

Follow the instructions and it’ll be a piece of cake, but mounting is definitely a two-person job since it’s a little heavy. Takes about 30-secs to go all the way up/down, but like others have said, I’d rather wait than worrying about the TV flying off. You can see the bottom of the mount if it’s mounted high, but you can easily paint the plastic cover the same color as the wall and it would blend right in. Lastly, another review mentioned it doesn’t swivel that far left/right, which may be an issue if you have two couches, but for a single couch or sectional, it should be just fine! We’ve been able to swivel it perfectly every time! It does come about 20” total off the wall when it’s fully extended, so if you have a narrow room, I’d recommend a slightly smaller TV (we bought ours after the mount and if it were any bigger, it would just be too close since our room is laid out awkwardly). Our couch is about 5.5-6 feet from the TV when it’s extended all the way down and we have a 65” TV. Any bigger would be way too close, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, love this! I personally have 0 complaints. SO happy with this purchase!!! One last thing, the mount came with every bolt size EXCEPT the one we needed (they were either the right thickness, but too short, or the right length, but too skinny/thick), so you may need to run to the hardware store. We have a Sony.

We were mounting our TV above our gas fireplace and were concerned about the neck cramp for how high it would be to have the required code clearance for the mantel above the fireplace. This is perfect to extend out past the mantel and then down to a normal viewing level to watch a movie. If we want the fire going, we'll just leave it up in its non-extended position. Easy to install, solidly built, and adds a cool "wow" factor for guests that come over. The motor is not fast, but is very quiet and honestly the speed is just fine and with the memory options you just have to click the button once to go down to your set position or back up. Just be aware the manual side angle ability does not angle very much.

I bought this item based on ratings and price. Other TV mounts that offered similar features were much more expensive, and having someone come in and install one was just more than I wished to pay. I was pleasantly surprised. The mount is sturdy, well designed and did an excellent job. The hardest part was drilling the holes, since the fireplace is stone. I'd recommend a quality drill bit and a hammer drill to drill the holes in a masonry or rock fireplace. If the fireplace isn't masonry, you'll really want a stud finder. Once the holes were drilled, mounting and set up were simple and quick. I added washers to act as spacers between the bracket and stone to keep the bracket from bending and ensure it was square to the wall. The mount moves quietly and does a great job of lowering the TV from above the mantle to in front of the fireplace. See video- it takes about 30 seconds to deploy or retract. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Update: After using it for a bit, I find it worse than I thought and I am reducing my rating to one star. I sincerely regret buying this TV mount and will eventually tear it out and replace it with something I find usable. In addition to the issues identified originally, I have found these following issues: - cable management sucks part 1: the best I can figure, the cables are hanging out, there is no cover for the cabling and the cables pop out extremely easily. - cable management sucks past 2: when the tv is in the up position, the cables are forced to stick out the bottom, away from the wall. I honestly don't know how I will make the cables look clean. - the tilt is not stable for me. When I bump it it goes out of alignment. - while it is stated in the product description, I think not being able to adjust the viewing angle is a huge miss. - also stated in the description and I think also sucks is how far it sticks out from the wall. Why would they design it to stick out ~16" from the wall? - finally, it seems like it could lower the TV much further (and closer to the wall), and I find it very frustrating that it can't. I truly do not understand why it has such high reviews. I really regret buying it and wasting the time installing it. Original: While I like the idea of a motorized TV mount, I would not consider buying this one again. The mounting holes do not have a center hole, and the other mounting holes don't extend far enough to hit other studs. This made it very difficult to mount it securely since I needed to center it on a stud. While this is mentioned in the pictures, the text greyed making it hard to see and easy to miss. The three mount bolts for the TV frame can come loose and spin freely, so I am heading to Home Depot to get super glue to see if I can reattach the bolts. If not, I will need to super glue the frame to the mount so I won't be able disassemble it. The plastic covering for the portion attached to the wall is off-white and a different color than the frame itself. Hopefully this will not be noticable one the TV is mounted. It doesn't swivel, so I can't rotate it to watch from other angles. Also, although the description is "pull down", as far as I can tell I need the remote to command up or down - if I lose the remote I am screwed. If I was looking for a new TV mount for over my fireplace, I would buy a manual one rather than deal with this one.
