If you like to have a sewing machine on hand for when you need one, this is perfect. It has enough stitch patterns to do most of the regular things you would need to sew, and it is easy to use. If you have never used a sewing machine before, this one is a great place to start your sewing journey and will last you a while. There is a learning curve for all sewing machines, so be sure to pay attention to the directions for the bobbin and threading the needle. Its light enough that taking it out and putting it away isn’t a major challenge, but heavy enough to stay in place while you’re working. The media could not be loaded. This is the first sewing machine I’ve owned and as far as I’m able to tell, it’s well-built with quality material and for the number of features and quality it’s an excellent value. The most interesting feature on MILLEPUNTI sewing machine is the auto needle threader. It’s very interesting how it functions and makes it easier to thread needle. Package arrived containing all necessary parts and accessories to immediately start using, except consumables like thread and fabric, and accessories are neatly stowed away in removable compartment that’s part of work surface. I was initially intimidated with the number of dials, levers and parts involved in operating sewing machine. After reading the well written and concise instruction manual, I was confident enough to start operating it. First thing I attempted was to spool thread onto bobbin, didn’t turn out so well. Thread tension was loose as I missed wounding it properly through tension node. After getting over bobbin hurdle, I finished setting up threading sewing machine and verified each step was correct and started adjusting and familiarizing myself with operating. Did some initial trials and each one turned out better than last after becoming more comfortable using it. Excellent sewing machine worth considering. My mom had a sewing machine. This thing was the size of my desk, but she used it for her part time job as a seamstress. The Millepunti sewing machine is roughly 1/6 of the size that my mom had, and well, it's almost as effective. The main difference between the two is merely the size. The Millepunti sews articles of clothing just fine, and it's "compact." I guess the impression is that it's so compact that you can carry this thing around by the handle on top. To give you an idea of how big/small it is, it's about half the size of my air fryer. Ultimately what you want out of a sewing machine is the ability to add thread easily, change/insert a needle easily, and control the speed at your discretion. This hits all the boxes. ... show more

This is a great first sewing machine. Does everything you need it to do. No-frills to the point sewing machine. Everything runs mechanically correctly. It's not super heavy, But has a good weight to it.
