We don’t have trees in our yard, so we needed a hammock with a stand. This was perfect! It sits on our front porch. My teenage son and husband argue over who gets to use it, so we bought a second one for the back porch as well. Everyone is happy!

Instructions are a bit sparse, but there’s not a lot to get wrong here. Putting the hook in upside down? Not that I’d know from personal experience or anything. The best part was that everything smelled so nice. I mean, I’ve ordered hammocks before that smelled musty (not going to name any names), but this hammock smelled fragrant. So did the carrying case. It was a delight to open the bag and find that sweet scent. I admit that I laid on it for about 30 seconds after assembling it in the rain. Not wanting to spoil the lovely scent, I immediately put all the soft parts away. And BTW, if not for the rain, assembling it took about 5 minutes total. That includes looking through the papers to find more specific instructions that didn’t exist (it’s fine), and adjusting the hook that I may or may not have installed upside down. Not sure why there’s a random knob in the middle on the bottom of the base bar. Maybe it’s a spare? Anyway, I’m looking forward to better weather so I can enjoy an afternoon nap in the yard. ... show more

This thing is amazing. It held myself (200lb), my nephew, and my niece without even creaking. And we were definitely playing on it too. They were sliding down and tickling each other. I highly suggest ensuring that where you place it is 100% level. Or at least 80% The fabric is good quality too, but if the edge of the fabric is in the crease of your legs or neck, it will hurt. Which is to be expected. I will note that it is rather difficult to get out of the first couple of times until you get the hang of it. If you are considering, do it. ... show more
