This is a very sturdy, well built piece of kit. It folds easily and fits in the trunk of our midsize sedan. I can lift it easily enough (I'm a senior in good health) but my wife probably can't. Yes, it's lighter and less bulky than a traditional wheelchair, but I wouldn't use the term "lightweight" to describe it. We were looking for a transport chair that was skinny enough to negotiate hallways and doorways, but sturdier than other chairs with a lesser capacity rating. It arrived almost completely assembled, all we had to do was fit the footrests. The footrests are easily adjusted. I didn't try to use the included stamped steel wrench...I grabbed a half inch socket and ratchet from my toolbox and made the adjustments quickly. The adjustment hardware appears to be substantial, using "nylok" nuts so nothing comes loose later. An improvement that Vive has made that doesn't show in the pictures - heavy nylon straps to keep your feet from slipping off the back of the footrests. The unit rolls and steers easily, and the brakes work well and lock when needed. We're using it outside the home when we need to go to appointments and such, so portability is a big plus. We're generally pleased with the chair and believe it represents good value for money.

I bought one for my mom, and then I bought one for my wife (after surgery). It is an excellent chair, sturdy yet lightweight, folds easily to fit in the car. It squeezes through doorways that a wheelchair can't quite make.

This chair has worked great for me while recovering from multiple ankle fractures. It came preassembled and is very easy to fold/unfold for use. My daughter is not terribly strong but is able to push me and load the chair in/out of trunk without significant difficulty. (I think it weighs about 30 pounds) Also, I am a larger person (about 260 pounds) and the chair is sturdy and no problem using it with a larger person--I would double check, but I think the chair is rated for people up to 300 pounds. This is not a wheelchair that you can use with your hands by pushing on extra large back wheels as it does not have extra large back wheels--but I can move around pretty well in it pushing with my uninjured foot. This would not work well for longer distances or on uneven terrain, but I can creep around in it pretty well at home, and it fits through my doorways well, where a larger chair probably would not. I am extremely happy with this chair as it is exactly what I needed at this time and appears to be great quality product.

This chair is very well made, and seems to be sturdy and very stable. It has been a lifesaver getting in and out of the bathroom. I had an unfortunate fall and ankle surgery has made me non weight bearing for 6 weeks. My wheelchair can not fit through the bathroom door, but this chair does. My only complaints are that it doesn't turn that easily. This is more of a transport chair where someone is pushing you. It is not easy to get around by yourself and the brakes are located behind you. Be sure to make note of height requirement. It is not made for tall people. I have not tried this outdoors, but I'm thinking it would have issues with uneven surfaces because the wheels are smaller. On level surfaces it goes with ease

Wow how easy to use - literally comes assembled! I opened the box popped it out and was helping my dad in seconds. It is light weight and and sturdy! The foot rest is great. It’s easy to use, but it’s also easy to tuck away. The fact that the arms are high enough for my dad to grab make it so useful. And the fact that the arms flip up so easily with no screws needed it’s brilliant get one right now. My only suggestion would be they should send it or sell it rather with a cushion one with a cover that you can wash it’s great.

Nothing overly special but for the price, it is a nice chair that transports users well and is easy to handle. Have had it for 4 years, loaned it to others often, and it is holding up nicely. I would buy it again.

Stable, easy to fold and unfold. No assembly needed. Both arms fold up, as does the foot rest, making my husband's transfer with just one leg much easier. It does not have any way to add a stump-rest, so it is for short durationbuse if that is an issue, but it does what I need it to. It goes through our very narrow bathroom door so my husband can reach to shower, and it allows an easy transfer when he gets transport to and from dialysis, it can be pushed by the transport person.
