The fact that it is less than 10 pounds and squeezes down to such a compact size has made my parent feel like an independent person again. Now able to get to the car and lean against the car then open the driver door then pull the lever to collapse it and then pick the walker up with one hand while using the other hand to balance and then put the walker behind the drivers seat and then sit down and get situated and put the seat belt on and start the car and ultimately drive away all 100% unassisted. Literally brought them to tears. The walker is a little less rigid when being used to walk than the Drive Rollators that have the seat pad and welded frames but this things is totally sturdy beyond necessity and it’s not going to break or collapse, so don’t hesitate just see it for yourself. I just showed it to a home health nurse and she thought it was amazing. She too didn’t even know they existed. Anyhow, most important of all is the fact that without this walker people may think they can not do some critical things by themselves but it has changed someone’s life which I got to see for myself. Over the years we purchased the lightest Drive models and other brands and I even tried to modify and lighten them myself which helped a lot but this one actually collapses and doesn’t just “fold” like a ladder. I hesitated but now I am so glad I decided to get it. This is a real review… I rarely do a review but this all needed to be said because of the great things it has done for my family.

I have a larger, sturdier walker but it is so hard to get it in or out of the car trunk that I don't use it. For quick trips this one is perfect. Collapsed, I can put it on the back seat and roll it into the car. Likewise, it rolls out when I need it. It's very easy to open and close and does a pretty good job of standing on its own when collapsed. It rolls smoothly and is adjustable to the perfect hight for me. I love the purple color. This walker is a little wobbly, not rock solid - but that is what I expected from a lightweight easily collapsed walker. It's sturdy enough to give me the confidence to go out on my own.

The light weighted 9.6 lbs narrow, foldable Vive walker with four wheels meets my needs. I use it more often than using my regular wt. 16.5 lbs rollator since I received it. It’s smooth and sturdy. No assembles needed. I just adjusted the height of the handles to match the level of the creases of my wrists when I stood up. It took me sometime to adjust using the wheels lock feature of the red lever, and I need to use both of my hands to lift the black unlock lever on the right side of the handle to collapse the walker. It’s great for indoors or short distances use when a seat on the walker is not needed. I can easily, partially collapse the walker when I go through any narrow paths. I love that I can put the 9.6 lbs walker in and out of my car on the floor of the passenger side or backseat easily by myself. It’s great for medical appointments in the medical offices, restaurants, even on the buses for the small 7” x 10” stand alone folded size. I love it so far. The grey color is beautiful. For the storage bag issues, I put the Vive XL Wheelchair Accessories Bag in my Amazon shopping cart. (There are more walkers or strollers accessories available on Amazon.) I found its size would be a good match of the walker. Currently, I just hanging a light weighted sling backpack, or a W-20”, H-15” Macys tote bag on the handles in the front of the walker. (I also hanging some carabiners in the front.) It works perfectly with my water bottle and light groceries in the bags. For the secure lock issues when the walker is in the collapsible mode, I just wrapped two heavy duty elastic hair ties (from Dollar store) around the handles. It works well so far. Also, registered the walker for the warranty on the Vive website is easy, and recommended. I have already recommended my friend to get one!! (The photo attached is where I put the elastic hair tie around the (far side from me when I am standing) handles of my new walker to secure it to stay folded.)

This walker is for people with balance issues. It helps to keep you steady as you walk. It’s very light, and it folds/opens easily. It’s not as sturdy as a typical rollator. Does not have a seat, which is great. You have more leg room, which allows you to get close and stand up straight. It’s basically a walker with wheels and hand brakes. 👍👍

This is a terrific product for what it is - a compact, lightweight, light-duty, foldable rollator for those (like me) who need exactly that. For general use, where I *don’t* have to fold up my rollator, load it into my back seat, and unload it for use elsewhere, I have my outstanding Evolution rollator that is a truly great product. However, it’s about 20 pounds, including my attached cane, and is a royal pain to load and unload for use elsewhere. The Vive Lightweight Walker, on the other hand, is a convenient, manageable alternative that is remarkably well-suited for loading in and out of a car and using on-the-go. It is half the weight (9.6 pounds) of my Evolution, and in about a second it folds to about a third of the volume of my beloved heavy-duty Evolution rollator - making it a perfect option when you’ll be loading it, driving elsewhere, and unloading it for use. What it’s NOT is extra-tall, nor is it heavy-duty or especially rugged. Contrary to erroneous data given throughout its listing, the maximum handle-height is most definitely 39” - NOT the false number of 42” shown in several places. For me, it matters, since I need 40”. But, I can’t find a comparable compact, lightweight, foldable option in 40”, so I make do with this 39” model. Also, although the listing and the user-manual (tiny, but helpful) give a maximum user-weight capacity of 300 pounds, you should take that with a grain of salt. If you’re 300 pounds (as I am) and expect the Vive to be able to support your body-weight, I think you’ll find that the somewhat fragile frame will give-way enough to cause you to fall to one side or the other. My solution to that is to NOT bear down onto it, such that the 300 pound weight-capacity would be an issue. I use my rollator (and my cane) solely to *steady* myself - NOT to support my full 300 pounds, or even close to it. At the most, I probably subject both rollator and cane to no more than 20 pounds or so of downward pressure, so the Vive is more than adequate for my needs, when travel by car is involved. All that considered, I highly recommend the Vive - as a mobile alternative to heavier, more substantial rollators when travel is involved. Just remember - it’s 39”, NOT 42”!

Finally, a walker that is light, maneuvers well and goes anywhere. Folds up to fit anywhere. Anyone can lift it into the car. Not as sturdy as a regular walker but sturdy enough!! No assembly. Gave me confidence in crowded or balance challenged places.

Arrived quickly in excellent condition. I bought the blue version and it looks nice. I purchased for an older parent--but as far as I'm concerned, it is lightweight, easy to fold, easy to set the brake (which just gives resistance to back wheels but is not 100% immovable) and looks decent. For this parent, it is a little more difficult to fold and to lock and unlock, as well as snapping it into the open position--but that's this parent's issue and may not translate to another person. Overall a good buy--not super expensive. They haven't said as much, but I know for sure they are happy it does not look like a "regular" walker. It is not clunky or bulky and does not have a seat. I can fold it quickly and lay it on the floor of the back seat of the car. The parent does not fold it and probably couldn't lift it into a car. I definitely recommend, although it has only been in use for a few weeks and I don't know how it will hold up.
