I was initially concerned about how well it would hold up. It is doing well. it is comfortable. Looks nice . Was initially stiff and a challenge to set up and fold down that has gotten much better. My wife is 75 and very active can lift it out of back of the Forester and put it back in by herself. If there is anything to watch out for is it can pitch forward if you hit a pavement groove small pothole or trip hazard on a sidewalk. This is easy to solve by slowing down and crossing at an angle. The distance that it will go on a charge is accurately stated in the description. So if you need. To go a long distance take extra batteries.

We got this for my an a family member with parkinsons who just had a stroke. He is limited with his fine motor skills. This chair is awesome. Easy to assemble and control. It is strong when it needs to be but fine tuned other times.

Joystick is very responsive but at time or tight areas it makes going straight a bit hard. Bumped my walls a few times. But if you can manage to give yourself room to go forward you should have better results. The fold ability is ehh in my opinion. It’s easy and helps making getting in a car better yes but the handles, armrests, and tilt preventing wheels all stay in their position so they’re sticking out. Doesn’t really stand easily when folded either for like propping against a wall or in a closet. Lastly the footrest is good for what it is but it kinda makes you have to have your feet a certain way to be most comfortable and to not bump the front wheels. For me a size 13 it might be worse but just something to note if you have larger feet. Aside from these few things I think it’s a really nice scooter chair. Charge lasts a while with the provided two batteries. The speed control is customizable and even at the highest speed feels safe. It is relatively light weight and feels sturdy still. It handles the few bumps from transitions in my house easily. Although I don’t plan to use it outdoors I’m not sure how it’d do in rougher terrain. I gave it a solid 4/5 stars. It is a very functional and well made product but the few things I mentioned above, combined to make me dock a star. I hope this helps.

Alright so I gave myself a good long while to test this before making my review because, to me, an item at this price point shouldn't be something you use for a day and start typing. So for disclosure; we've had it since Nov-25, I say 'we' because while I did spend time in the chair myself I wasn't the primary user an actual disabled person was, and about 85% of the use has been indoors not as primary chair but as a preference based alternative. UNPACKING -- Wasn't too bad for me being able bodied. It does arrive in a large carton and it is double packed. Inside, the largest single piece is the chair itself in it's folded position minus its cushions, batteries, and misc bits which come out on their own. I would say if you're wheelchair bound yourself, getting some help might be wise. BATTERY LIFE -- With prior experience with powered chairs of this battery type I knew going into this that the advertised distance/duration is a technical based computation, not a real world measurement. This is of course why marketing using the phrase "up to". Every bit of resistance added decreases battery life. Meaning the surface it rides on, the incline of travel, and the amount of weight upon the wheels. Acceleration spikes also eat battery power; so a bunch of start and stops will pull more current than sustained travel. Turning without forward momentum, ie flipping casters, also creates pretty massive hits on the battery power. I tried to form some manner of estimate based on a usage I could report but really its so situationally dependent that the best I can say is; top it off if you expect to use it for a long duration and be mindful of the conditions that will tax the battery hardest. WEIGHT -- I'd say the ultralight marketing label is justified when comparing to the typical aluminum chasis type. For comparison we have a non-powered transport chair at 25 lbs, and a full size collaposable hospital grade manual chair thats 46 lbs. Weight isn't the consideration though, having points you can grab onto in order to manipulate the thing matter just as much IMO. This chair when folded has points to grab but the one thing it lacks is anything to keep it locked in the folded position. Its not a deal breaker though because I could maintain it in such a position where it didn't try to unfold. One other thing that an ultralight chair helps factiltate is the cleaning of the wheels. Now maybe this isn't apppliable to your situation but when floors get messy, wheels get messy, and they'll track things all over sometimes even moreso than feet will. Being able to do a quick lift and wipe is very satisfying for me. SPEED -- If you're used to the full range granular adjustment speeds that high end powered chairs offer do note that this chair isn't anything like that. Its quick, in fact it was actually far too quick for our needs on anything other than the lowest setting which even that wasn't ideal given our specific needs. If you need a chair that crawls, don't get this one because this one hauls. FOOTREST -- We liked the low profile singular foor rest option. A lot of transport chairs use dual side folding rests and they always position them up high for safety reasons but if you've ever spent time with your knees up like that its not really comfortable. Thought its good to note that with a single rest your feet will be closer, and thus your knees might want to roll outward, and your hips might have to facilitate that. Such was our experience though this of course body dependent. SITTING COMFORT -- The cushions themselves are a considerbale improvemt over the typical vinyl/PVC flex seats in hospital grade chairs, or the similar nylon types in manual transport chairs. For my disabled individual however the lack of an adjustable backrest did present a duration based limitation in that early on we observed this couldn't be a chair for her to spend an entire day in. OTHER OBSERVATIONS -- While folded, and cushion removed, it can stand upright but it doesn't really want to and will very slide out from under itself. Understandably because folding a chair like this is typically when you're going to load it into a vehicle. We wanted ours in a hall closet during non-use and had to find exactly how it wanted to be to keep the wheels from sliding out -- When returning chair from folding position to working position, if the foot stool is pulled back too far it will interfere with the seat locking into place. Its a minor quirk but something I had to be aware of each time I transitioned it. -- The release latch to engage the folding action can be a minor pinch point when lowering the seat back down, its easy to avoid and doesn't clamp down fully but could possibly pinch your hand if it were all the way in there. -- The manual ours came with seemed to almost be one of those situations where revisions in either the product or the manual itself occured independly because there was some reference to unapplicable stuff and when it came to expalining the buttons on the joystick it wasn't exacting to the controls themselves. I thought to contact support but we found things pretty easy to figure out so I never did. WHO IS THIS FOR -- In my opinion the ideal user is someone whos needs are not that of one who is considered to be fully disabled but rather someones who's mobility is simple compromised. Someone who is comfortable with a decent rate of speed, and confident in using a joystick thats a bit punchy. Someone who wants the option to traverse uneven terrian but understans the battery life needs to be managed in doing so.

I am really impressed with this lightweight electric wheelchair. I have quite a bit of experience having been taking care of our parents and in-laws on both sides of our family who have been in wheelchairs and walkers for years. Plus I myself and my sister-in-law previously had to use one briefly for knee injuries after surgery. So I've shopped and bought them before for others, and many electric ones cost twice what this one does, are bulkier, and don't work better - often worse. This isn't as light as a transport chair because it's motorized and sturdy, but much lighter than a regular wheelchair. And it's pretty strong, holding up to 265 pounds. None of our parents weigh more than that. The back wheels are large and all the wheels are wide enough (although not super wide) to provide good traction and power without sinking in, although it is recommend to use on flat surfaces - not rutty or gravely surfaces - and that is pretty standard with wheelchairs. I would say this is best for getting around on even or slightly sloped surfaces indoors at home or when away, although in theory it can be used outdoors as long as it's not going to rain. The battery area would be exposed, and I think that's also true with most electric power wheelchairs. I tested this out thoroughly before I was going to let our mother use it. It charged up quickly, faster than the 6-8 hours it said it needed, and it warned against overcharging by letting it go too long. Also, when not in use you'll want to still make sure you're running it at least 2-3 times a month for a while because, like a car, it can damage or run down the battery if you don't keep them active. You get two batteries, which is great because a lot of times you only get one and you have to buy more, which can be expensive, plus they both conveniently install right next to each other sliding in similar to typical Dewalt Tool batteries, so the backup is ready when the other runs down, and they give you a warning before your power gets too low on the controller. They've been lasting a surprisingly long time so far with multiple days of use, and I haven't had to recharge them yet, not that we're going that far. Also, you don't have to remove them to charge them. The entire wheelchair charges through a connector at the hand controls (which also has a USB underneath at the front). You just have to turn on both the power button down by the batteries under the seat which is easy to reach while sitting in the chair. You don't have to turn on the controller until you're ready to drive it. Also, the instructions mention that you should not switch off the power suddenly while on a hill, and to brake you simply let go of the controller and it will stop. The wheelchair's typical joystick controller let's you move in any direction, and the chair pivots really smoothly. When you go in reverse it beeps a warning to anyone behind you, although not very loudly, which might be the preference of most people. Who wants to draw attention to themselves that much? They give you two cushions that Velcro on to the seat and back with an ergonomic design and a sturdy seat belt. And you definitely need a seat belt as this thing can just take off. You have 5 speeds and moving around the house I barely wanted to go more than the second speed. It can go over a decent little bump, but not too high unless you pick up speed a little first. It also handles a gradual incline with no problem, and there are tip-over protectors. It's easy to unfold and set up, as well as take down. There are little buttons you press to flip the arms up out of the way, and you press up on a bar just under the front of the seat to pull up and close the chair when you want to store it or transport it. I love the footrest too which is a good-sized flat platform that easily folds up and down, rather than just two foot positions. It's comfortable, powerful, portable, a good value, and so far is working great. I would definitely recommend it!

This is definitely lightweight,and easy to fold and unfold. The controls are pretty straight forward. The wheels leave a little to be desired as they are fine on smooth flat surfaces but not great on varied, uneven terrain. Additionally wished the traveling distance on a charge was greater. It says twelve miles with extra battery but I do not believe that to be correct. I like the anti tip wheels and the chair is relatively comfortable. While it is a decent enough device it could definitely use some tweaking in my opinion, especially given the price point.

Overall I am very happy with this electric wheelchair, it's so lightweight and easy to use and can carry someone up to 265 pounds! It is so easy to maneuver too! TRANSPORTING: It's easy to fold and unfold by squeezing the bar under the seat. It feels sturdy and durable yet it is only 35 pounds with the batteries and 31 pounds without, so it simple to transport. CUSHIONS: The seat and back cushions have some Velcro style strips to help attach them, they are about 1.25" to 1.5" thick of soft foam that is comfortable. It includes a seatbelt that is easy to strapped fully underneath the seat itself, if you don't want to use it. PERFORMANCE & MANEUVERABILITY: The joystick steering is simple to use. There are 5 speed settings with a yellow indicator light, showing the selected speed. You can control how fast the chair moves within that range with a lighter push moving slower, and a full push moving faster. It handles great on tile, hardwood, and carpet. For me, the lowest speed was perfect for indoor use. When backing up, the chair even gives a soft, consistent but not annoying, beeping on and off alert. BATTERY & POWER: It included 2 batteries, which they say will provide up to 12.8 miles of range. There are slots for both batteries on the frame. The main power switch is located near the batteries (which is recommended to keep off when not in use), and the controller power button on the armrest. The battery indicator on the armrest shows the amount of charge with 5 lights, 2 green, 2 yellow, 1 red. SETUP: Setup was quick and simple. The anti-tip bars with wheels attach easily. The controller is attached by sliding it into the bracket on the arm, and then tightening the knob. It can be adjusted to be closer or further from the arm rest, best on preference. The controller connects to the battery via a cord that runs along the arm and back, but it doesn't include Velcro or clips. Adding a few straps would be simple and would help keep the cord fully out of the way and clear of the wheel in the long run. The footrest and armrests lift and lower easily. It comes with a small tote bag for storing the charger and manual (could also fit batteries in there for transporting). CHARGING: The instruction manual is generally clear and easy to follow. However, the charging instructions weren't very clear. The charging process is to: 1. Turn power switch under the chair to ON (green light will show) 2. Make sure the joystick/controller power switch is OFF (the lights on the controller will turn off) 3. Plug in the charger to the port in the arm, under the controller. 4. The manual states that the charger will show a red light when charging, but mine actually shows a blue light while charging, and then a green light when fully charged. This is even what it says on the charger. Not a big issue, but something to know. OVERALL: It performs extremely well! It's easy to fold and transport. Maneuverability is excellent and it feels comfortable and stable. Despite minor issues with the charging instructions, this is a VERY nice electric wheelchair!

This is my first electric wheelchair and to my surprise there will be a learning curve that I did not anticipate. All movement of the chair by the occupant is with a “joystick (throttle)”. It is a BIG adjustment until you get the feel of the throttle, as I said it controls speed, direction and stopping. What about stopping, where are the brakes? The brakes are sensitive and are activated by you releasing the throttle. Different = yes, but works well. For the first few days, my doors, walls and furniture were run into frequently. Note: the joystick does not have a reverse, like your automobiles transmission, so you need to stop the wheelchair in places that allow you to continue forward and not get boxed in. I have not taken mine out of the house as yet, because I need to practice the aforementioned.. i suggest practicing turning in spaces with a tight turning radius. I did have a battery problem, which I think I have resolved. My model came with two batteries. After charging both of them, I put them into their designated location, for storage, over night. The following morning, neither of the batteries had held their charge. I;m pretty sure that this was caused by my storing the second battery, over night, on board the wheelchair. (If I discover anything further on this I will add to this review) All factors considered, I really like this chair. The seat is a perfect size for my butt. This is important as the wider the seat the wider the footprint of the chair and the harder it is to get through doorways and other narrow passages. I like the quick response of the throttle and despite my failing the early driving test, I am enjoying the challenge of learning to drive a new way. (THERE IS NO DRIVING TEST. Just my own requirements before I turn myself loose on the general public.
