I purchased this Vitruvi diffuser in December as a gift, in March while using the Vitruvi diffuser I smelled plastic burning and traced it to the Vitruvi diffuser's power connection (see attached photo). If I had been in another part of the house and not smelled the smoke it might have ignited the wood table it was sitting on, the table was hot to the touch after moving the Vitruvi diffuser. I went to the Vitruvi website and sent a message explaining what happened, with pictures, and got no response. The advertising promotes lifetime customer assistance and support yet I canโt get a response after only a few months. Not very happy about spending the extra money for this product.

I just moved into my first year of college and wanted a nice, luxurious diffuser to make my dorm smell and look like a place other students would like to spend time. This product did both very well! I like the shape and finish of the device very much. Makes it feel substantial, which in the world of gadgets, means a lot. The performance is very good, but mind you, Iโm in a 350ish sqft dorm room. One thing I wouldโve liked is a way to have it run forever till the water runs out, as there are only 4 and 8 hour options for the cycle. A full reservoir seems to last around 12-ish hours of continuous use, but after 8 hours, I have to be home to turn it on again. Still very happy overall!

I handle this diffuser like it's made of glass, I am so careful with it and if it hadn't stopped working out of nowhere I would rate it 5/5 stars. It smells amazing and looks so high-end. That said, out of nowhere it stopped working 2 weeks ago! I bought it on June 22 2024. Instead of diffusing, no steam comes out and instead the base where the plug is located just gets really warm if left on. For context, the water I fill it with is from my LARQ UV Filtration Pitcher (which has a brand new filter) and I have never filled it past the "fill to" line. I have been adding the max recommended # of drops of oil (20-25) but am using high-quality oil made for diffusers so idk what the cause of this product failure is. I did not use it for the last week while i was in Connecticut, but just got back to NYC and now it will emit a stream of steam for the first minute after I turn it on and then stop working again. If you do roll the dice on this admittedly gorgeous diffuser I would suggest buying directly from the Vitruvi website so you get their customer support benefits and definitely shell out for the insurance option from Vitruvi / Amazon. I missed the deadline to add insurance/replacement support and now I'm super bummed.

I kept the item boxed as it was a gift; then decided to keep it for myself. I set it up, plugged it in, and nothing. It will not work. I've tried different outlets but I must have a defective item (and reading reviews, I'm not alone). Buyer beware, this is a very expensive item to be defective from day 1 and Amazon will not accept it back even though it was defective right out of the box. So disappointed! I would give it zero stars if I could.

I'll confess, I've had Vitruvi on my radar for years, but was never rich enough to shell out the big bucks for one of their diffusers. I believe that this company was the first to design a diffuser like this, with the textured ceramic casing, and I fell in love with the simple, natural aesthetic the first time I saw it. It's been in my Amazon wishlist ever since, but in the meantime - after several years - I noticed and purchased a variety of knockoffs. These look almost completely identical in size, shape, color, texture, etc., but cost a quarter of the price. However, when I saw authentic Vitruvi diffusers available through the Amazon Vine program, I was so excited. I will say - side by side, the Vitruvi is almost indistinguishable from the knockoff, except for the color. If anything, the buttons are more distracting/clunky than the knockoff's, and the cord attaches to the side of the base, not subtly underneath. The design of the knockoff, in my opinion, is actually slightly better. However, you can still tell that Vitruvi's quality is good. Probably not asking-price good, but good nonetheless. The packaging and branding are modern and elegant, making it something you'd be proud to give (or receive) as a gift. The color, too, is so unique - you definitely won't find this everywhere. My conclusion - unless you want this for the spectacular color or strictly as a status symbol, it's really not worth it. Still, if you're willing to spend top dollar, you will get an admittedly beautiful diffuser.

The fit and finish on these diffusers are excellent, I bought the terra cotta colored model for our kitchen, and bought a gray stone colored one for my aunt and both look great. More importantly, they really make a noticeable difference. Even though our kitchen is really open to the den and living room, the puffs of vapor it emits still make a really pleasant impact if you're in the general area of the kitchen. It provides a really clean and relaxing feeling that elevates the comfort level of our home, that may sound silly but it's true. Simple things like that really can make a big difference. My aunt keeps hers in her kitchen as well and she has also been really pleased with it.
