We love this blender. It's our second. After many years using our first on, we needed to replace it. This one is quieter than our original 5200. It's smooth. We like having a power switch on the side. Our first Vitamix had a power switch in front where the kids could reach it, but this one has a switch on the side. That works great for us. We like the taller pitcher. It seems to blend chunky foods more smoothly and efficiently. Plus, It doesn't burp up smoothie on the lid. I'm not sure why, but that's a nice bonus. ... show more

Unfortunately, this not a great blender. The blender is not Strong, make sure you have sufficient liquids for a good blend. The blender struggles with carrots & ice it works good with soft fruit.

Good blender but i wish the blade were higher like the ninjas. You basically have to belnd for a while or always used the packer tube to stir the contents down. It does not do well with much ice or frozen thing if you do not add liquid.
