The media could not be loaded. This is a very comfortable chair, especially for the price. We've been using it for a few days now and it's actually a lot better than the more expensive swing chairs in the marketplace. It has been one of the best purchases I've made for a long time. It's so comfortable and relaxing that I was able to easily fall asleep in it. Not only do I like it, but it's great for the entire family. It's great for the kids and also good for grown men since it has nice and sturdy construction. It's also fairly easy to install with the straps. I bought a couple other chairs before this one, and this is by far the best chair because it has much thicker material and most other chairs in the marketplace. Exactly what I was looking for! The vita5 hammock chair is very sturdy AND comfortable. The small features (water bottle holder, book pocket, etc.) it comes with show that this chair was made with a thoughtful design. I’ve really come to appreciate not having to rise and rock the chair too hard every time I need to grab something—my book and my coffee are both within arm’s reach. The chair is a great addition to our patio, especially now that the weather’s getting warmer. (I can take my nap feeling the spring breeze.) The cover fabric is soft to touch, and the large pillows provide great back support; you wouldn’t feel all numb from sitting or lying in the same position with this chair! A lot of our friends (both kids and adults) opt to sit on this hammock chair when they hang out in the patio. One of them ended up ordering the same chair himself when he tried it and found it perfect for lounging. One feedback I have for the manufacturer is that the tassels are not strongly stitched onto the cover and can get easily detached. (e.g. when you clumsily climb onto the chair and your foot gets caught between the string and the chair.) Although they seem to be part of the boho look, I’d love to see a version of this hammock chair without the tassels. ... show more

Sitting in it now and really enjoying it! Easy to hang right out of the box. I do have a swing chair stand but if you had to fashion it to hang from a beam all the parts are here. I’m ‘elderly’ and don’t move very well sometimes but I was able to get in and scooch back comfortably and be situated right in. The cushion pillows are nice, come vacuum packed and pillow covers slip right on. I did order another style at the same time with the plan that I would try both and return one. The one I returned was unpride . That one was well made and lots of nice features but I couldn’t scooch back far enough and wasn’t comfortable for me. It I tried this one and like it very much! Reasonable price. If it wasn’t chilly out now, I’d spend the night in it! At least till the critters come out! Also I’m 5’2”, and I know this would be perfect for kids! ... show more

    • Great chair, but mind your butt with a C stand!
The chair is pretty, comfy, and seems well designed and sturdy. However, I have a C shaped stand, and even with minimal hardware, a normal-sized adult will be dragging their butt on the bottom of the C. A wider spreader bar would help with this, as does pushing the cushions back further into the chair to spread the occupant's weight across more surface. So, if you're hanging this from the ceiling or a stand, you will want 7 feet or a bit more of clearance from the top of the chair's swivel hook to the desired seating level. My stand has about 76", which wasn't enough without some modifications. All that said, I put the chair on a wider spreader bar, put the wider cushion on the seat instead of on the back, shifted the cushion position a little, and it works for us. This chair was the most desired seat on the deck last time we had guests! ... show more

I chose this company because its the only one that has a heavy Duty bar, not wood or multiple pieces. (for outdoors) The cotton material is actually 30% polyester which I prefer as it will make it last longer and makes it stronger. The seat is very comfortable, lovely material, nice pillows. Only the swivel has no KN number (strength) on it but at that price I did not expect more. So far it seems to hold, but if you are a heavy person, I would probably get a serious swivel and/or hooks. Warranty is great: 1 year, and an extra year if you register. Very decent. Some people wrote it smells like cellar: it does have a earthy smell like raw cotton or wool. I actually like it. I think if you wash it it might go away if you are sensitive. ... show more

For me, this hanging chair is one of the best ways to enjoy the outdoors. It gives me that nostalgic, playground swing feeling but in a much more comfortable way. This chair is perfect for reading a book with a glass of wine. I love the cup holder. I have tried a few outdoor hanging chairs and finding a balance between sturdiness and comfort has been challenging. This chair is well-constructed and the Vita5 is so comfortable and relaxing with its two large cushions I appreciate that it can be used for any room in my house.

 My 4-year-old loves it! The steel bar, anti-slide rings, and the sturdy chair make it safe for him to rock back and forth. It's a perfect way for him to sooth himself when those big feelings come up or to relax into naptime.

I used this chair to build an outdoor meditation space. I initially set this up outside and moved it into my son’s bedroom when the weather got cooler. I’m impressed by how well it held up in the snow! The chair allows me to move and readjust myself. I've tried a hammock, but I'm not looking for a cocoon, just a relaxing support system.
