Works well except for power switch. Came complete with batteries and adapters for other types of connector besides ST. Strong light and a good pattern. Helps with determining quality of connectors and to find breaks in the fiber or points where the fiber is overbent and causing a light leak. Locator works well and has both a steady and flashing feature. The only downside is the power off switch can be difficult to find between steady and flashing, but it is findable and the device still works. Overall, a good deal for the price.

The media could not be loaded. Really handy little tool. The laser is super bright and makes it easy to spot breaks or bends in finer. Feel solid, easy to carry, and the battery lasts a long time. Definitely makes trouble shooting quick. Recommend.

This has been a great tool for my techs to use while installing or locating fiber. The kit includes a LC adapter but not an SC one will need to be purchased separately (very cheap no big deal). What is really cool is that you can see when you have micro bends in your fiber it has really been functional in locating bends and preventing them. It is very easy to use and the light emitted is bright enough to locate while standing back at a safe distance from the laser. Anytime the laser cannot pass at 680nm you will see light bleed through the jacket and you either have a bend issue or a break. Ideal for troubleshooting jumpers.
