  • Brought my record collection to life again!
Color: Modern Black
The media could not be loaded. I was recently looking for a new record player after the one I inherited years ago from a relative finally gave out for good, so after considering a few here on amazon, I finally settled on this one. Anyways, if you're a music lover like myself, you know that nothing beats the warm, rich sound of vinyl records. There's just something special about the way the needle glides over the grooves, producing an organic sound that digital music just can't replicate. That's why I'm thrilled to share my experience with this player. Build and Construction: The first thing you’ll notice out of the box is its sleek and modern design. It looks right at home alongside all our other electronics. The exterior controls are all fairly intuitive, and the build feels more than durable enough. The construction isn’t heavy, but the base is solid, suggesting it has the stability to minimize any unwanted vibrations that could affect the sound quality. The turntable by all appearances seems to be made of materials resistant to wear and tear, and the tonearm is perfectly balanced, allowing for smooth and accurate tracking across the record. The platter spins smoothly and quietly, and the dust cover keeps everything protected when not in use. Overall, I was impressed with the attention to detail for how inexpensive it was. Performance: Once I got everything set up, it was time to put this record player to the test. Turning it on cues a short little melody. I placed a record on the platter, and lowered the tonearm into place with a gentle "click." I adjusted the tracking force and anti-skate to match the specifications of the record, and then it was time to sit back and enjoy the music. From the moment the needle touched the groove, I was blown away by the sound quality. I just wasn’t expecting it for speakers of this size, but the music was warm and full-bodied, with plenty of depth and richness. The bass again was surprisingly pretty tight and punchy, the midrange was clear and detailed, and the highs were smooth and sweet. I listened to several different records, and each one sounded better than the last. The soundstage was wide and deep, and I felt like I was right in the middle of the music even though the room I was in was fairly large. It was huge upgrade from the player I had been using previously, and even records that I had listened to hundreds of times before sounded more rich than ever before. One bonus feature that’s pretty nice- You can control it with your phone’s Bluetooth, and even play Spotify or whatever you like wirelessly through the players speakers. Conclusion: Overall, I’m pretty much in love with this thing. The build and construction are top-notch, the performance is outstanding, and the sound quality, especially for a record player, is as good as you’re going to find. If you're a music lover looking for a quality record player that will bring your vinyl collection to life, then I can't recommend this one highly enough. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Great first record played for a great price
I love the look of this record player, it sounds great even for scratched up old records I got at a thrift store and the Bluetooth connectivity is very easy to connect to and sounds good. I would give 5 stars if you could close the lid while a record is on

  • Great Sound! Classic look. Compact travel friendly design.
The media could not be loaded. Overall, this is a classic looking, affordable record player. Well packaged. So it's probably not going to arrive broken. I will say the use of plastic protector bags was probably excessive and a few less wouldn't help out the environment with risking any damage to the unit. What's in the box. - Record Player - Usb plug - Power cable - Spare needle - Instructions What I like - Compact travel friendly design. I don't usually run around with my record players but one of the first ones I owned was my inheritance from a deceased relative, which broke when we made our last move. It was big and bulky and short story it is in a landfill now. One nice thing about this unit is that it has a clip that locks the needle in place so it won't damage in transit. - Built in speakers have pretty great sound quality. While it's nice that this unit has the option to hook up to external speakers. It's not a feature I'm planning on using but nice to have the option. - Classic look. You won't offend me if you disagree but I favor the classic antique wood look over the metallic paint styles I've seen. Things I'm not crazy about. - SD / USB. This is nit-picky and I get that when they design these they are trying to maximize the usefulness of the product to as many people as possible. Personally, I will never use the SD or USB options so for me it takes away from the classic aesthetic that I otherwise really like. - You can't close the lid when a record is playing. Ok, I know this is a given for compact record players but my anxious brain is always like what if somebody closes it when you have a record on the tray. Granted my two year old has destroyed all my vinyl and I've never had an issue with the lid of a compact. Final thoughts? Great little record player that is reasonably priced. Controls are simply and intuitive. Bluetooth is a great feature that actually makes the player much more usable. Ultimately this is going to look great in my office and be an awesome conversation starter. ... show more

  • Great sound quality
Color: Modern Black
The media could not be loaded. When my son told me he wanted a vinyl player for his bday I thougth he was joking. I didn't realize these made a comeback. After shopping around I was overwhelmed with the amount of options but I like the price point of this one and it had other good reviews too. He got it hooked up and playing as soon he could. Honestly I was surprised by the quality of it. Seem very durable and has good sound quality. Now we are shopping for some more vinyls. ... show more

  • Good value for a budget price
Color: Modern Black
Great build quality and sound for the price. Never had a player before, found it very easy and intuitive to open and set up for the first time. The volume goes up very loud at the max setting, which I was impressed by.

I have to update my answer to question posed earlier. I am playing a record now and you can actually close the lid during play. Thete is enough clearance. Sorry about that wrong answer I gave.
