This extractor was really easy to assemble, just screw on the three legs, and the two lid pieces. They even include a little wrench. I made a silly mistake and put the lid pieces on backwards. They are almost the same, except they have a strike pad that connects with a safety lock button on either side of the extractor so it’ll only run if the lids are closed. I panicked thinking it was broken when it wouldn’t run and I emailed the seller with Vigli support. They responded almost immediately and asked if the lids were closed and then sent me pics of the safety lock button so I was able to fix my mistake and it runs great now! The media could not be loaded. I harvested from 5 hives. I was able to uncap and extract 64 frames in a day and a half by myself. The extractor was easy to assemble. I bolted mine down to a platform for extra stability. The variable speed motor worked efficiently to initially slowly spin out honey then at a higher rate to get the maximum amount of honey out. Disassembling for cleaning was simple and relatively quick. There are higher end extractors available, but this one is perfect for me and my size honey harvest. I'm extremely pleased. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying this unit is very functional and worked great extracting honey from my medium frames. It is really quiet to run and barely took 35% on the speed control to effectively spin out the honey in a few minutes for each side. When the unit arrived, I removed the motor unit and basket so it could be cleaned. Out of the box it was very clean, but I assumed still had oils from the manufacturing process. If you haven’t read other reviews, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SMALL BALL BEARING in the socket at the bottom of the basket shaft. It would be very easy to loose this bearing when cleaning the unit. I used a small magnet on a telescopic pen, to remove this ball. I noticed that there was a small amount of grease in this socket. Not knowing the origin of this grease, I removed it with some Q-tips. When it was reassembled I used a few drops of food safe mineral oil for a lubricant. There are NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS provided, but it is really pretty easy to figure out. Provided is a roll of Teflon tape for the threads on the metal honey gate. I found that it required a significant (12ish) wraps of tape to get a good fit. The parts bag also provides a spare face gasket for the value, which is nice. Next, the plexiglass lids need to be installed with the small bolts in the pre-drilled holes. The lids have the typical plexiglass plastic film on both sides. The pre-installed hardware is loose so that the film can be pulled out and then the screws can be tightened. After installing the lids, I found the plexiglass was tight against the motor mount and did not allow the lids to close completely. This can be fixed with a little sanding, but I found it did not really matter and I needed to get some honey extracted. Last was attaching the legs and I used the tallest setting which allowed space for a 5 gal. bucket and strainer. Just don’t over tighten the bolts on the legs or motor mount or you will bend the metal. When extracting honey, I left the gate open over the bucket. The honey never reached the shaft bearing since it is located on a convex point on the bottom. Cleanup was simple. Remove the four motor mount cap nuts, pull off the motor, remove the basket, and capture the bearing. For the price point and functional aspects, I think it is a really nice unit. If you are looking for a turn-key unit, look at others. ... show more

We were so excited to receive our Vingli Electric 4 frame extractor. Our honey is so ready to be harvested. Imagine our disappointment when we discovered the lids were NOT in the shipment! To make matters worse, Vingli told us we would not receive the lids for another MONTH. If we return the extractor - we will have to pay shipping and handling. The extractor is super heavy and way too expensive to return at our cost. Soooo very disappointing all the way around. ... show more

Would be so useful if the motor wasn’t shot. I loaded up my frames, motor had a green light, flick it on and nothin. Ended up getting stung 4-5 times in my cheeks trying to put my frames back by the time I realized I’m screwed. Upsetting

we used it the second time for 4 framed and the red piece if plastic was stuck to the side wall. would you please send me a new one. it was a present for father day so would you please replace that part.
