    • They take a while to loosen up. They are too tight. The top layer of the shoe peels off the colors.

I bought these a while ago and they were super tight when I bought them but they did loosen up after a while of wearing. I loved the colors but the top layer peeled off and I couldn’t wear them anymore and it was too late to return them. Bummer.

Let me start off by saying I just started in the field of Dental Assisting and needed PPE approved footwear. I bought two kinds to see the difference. The white shoe is a Hawkwell Nursing Shoe. Excellent. Foam padding in certain areas that get fatigued after prolonged periods of standing/walking. My feet feel better after wearing them. Flexible yet breathable material. I just wish they came in more colors. Now for the Anywears: they were actually MORE expensive than the Hawkwells. Even with the 15% off on Hawkwell, they are still cheaper than these Anywears. Upon first glance, they look like you’re average nursing clog. When you feel it, it feels likes a cheap imitation of plastic. It’s rigid in all the wrong places. Feels like I have a chunk of plastic Tupperware on my feet. Also, they are somehow SMALLER than my Hawkwells? HW’s are 6.5 and fit ok. Probably could get a 7 but these AW’s feel like my feet are being suffocated. No padding or even a remotely cushiony insole. Just…hard and rigid all around. I couldn’t imagine wearing these for anymore than a couple hours let alone walk in them. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I have to and I do like the color although, it is deceiving. These shoes are absolutely gorgeous, but did not work for me. I wear Size 6-1/2 and ordered up, to a Size 7, based on their recommendation. My feet were swimming around the 7, so I ended up ordering the 6. You can see in the photo, that there is a big jump in sizes. They were too short, and my toes were hitting the tips. They were also a little too tight in the sides. I can see why they said to size up. They are pretty narrow, even for my skinny feet, with low arches. I tried thicker socks with the 7, but still way too long. If I had higher arches, I might be able to get away with the 7’s, but they would’ve been too easy to walk out of them. Not safe in the rain. At least the width was comfortable. I ended up returning them both, since I didn’t think I could wear either for longer than an hour. They also kind of “squeaked” when I walked, but not a deal breaker, because they were sooooo pretty. I feel like they are probably true to size for length, but not width. So very sad. Update: I made the 7’s wearable by sticking in some Dr Scholls arch supports that made my regular shoes too tight. Not perfect, but they do not slip off my feet, anymore. The 6’s are going back, but I’m happy to keep the 7’s. ... show more
