If you are considering buying this bed, do it! I was very hesitant to purchase this bed after reading the reviews and all the issues others had. However, I got thinking, people always make reviews to tell others what is wrong with the product. Very few people review to tell how great it is. I decided to take a chance and buy this bed because it was on sale and my daughter was quickly outgrowing her toddler bed. It was delivered as scheduled. The box was smaller than I thought and was pretty banged up. Thankfully when I opened it, everything looked okay with lots of foam and styrofoam padding. The directions said it would take at least 2 people, maybe 3, 2.5 hours to assemble. I decided to try it by myself (husband not good at following directions lol). It took me maybe 2 hours tops, taking breaks to care for my 7 month old twins. My 8 year old did help toward the end putting the slats and screws in just so he could say he helped. He also "supervised" me using his dad's power drill. That was the only tool needed other than the L shaped thing that came with it. The whole time I kept thinking about the reviews and what is going to go wrong? Are the holes drilled correctly? Will it be sturdy enough? Am I missing pieces? I was pleasantly surprised I had very little issues. (I'll attach pictures) the holes on one side didnt seem drilled enough so the screws didnt go down into the board flat, but really who cares?? They are in enough to hold it together and no one will get hurt from them. Also, the predrilled holes for the ladder are not lined up with the bracket - easy fix- I just made new ones and the old ones were covered by the bracket. One board also has a small chip, but like I said- who cares about that. It is quite possible I did that while trying to move boards around. Finish product- my 5 year old loves her "sloth" (loft) big girl bed! It is sturdy and she has room for shelves and toys under it. It is the perfect fit for her small bedroom. The height is perfect, I'm not afraid of her falling out. Her mattress is on the thin side, 5 inches, so it fits nice with the railing. So, as a busy, not strong, but good at picture directions, mom of 4, assembly was much easier and quicker than I was expecting.

I see a lot of people using this for their kids so I thought I’d weigh in. I’m using this for my self. It’s not bad, it can be a bit wobbly but holds pretty well. I was worried it wouldn’t be able to hold my weight (230+ including the mattress and blankets) but it definitely can. When it came it was completely disassembled, my grandfather and dad built it after about 3 hours. Not too bad but definitely clear your afternoon if you want to build this.

The media could not be loaded. Update! We have had this bed for nearly a year in 2 months. Still love this bed it is in great condition it can seem like it is wobbly but that is not the case if you aren't jumping around in the bed. My little brother slept in the bed and he was a teenager when he came to visit with no problems. I slept in the bed I am about 200 lbs and there was no issue there either (actually had a great night's sleep but I know that is because of the mattress). The real thing that is annoying: changing the sheets I don't know if it is the mattress I chose but it is a workout to change the sheets because everything fits so snuggly. Other than that I still recommend this purchase 10 stars and would buy again. ``````````````````````````````````` So I love almost everything about this bed and the one thing I'm not to happy about is not because of the but because of me. This bed comes in great condition 2 boxes all of the wood is cut perfectly and the paint is nice and each piece is labeled with a number to help you follow the instructions. Now the instructions are very clear and straightforward however you have to read them and follow the pictures. If you have a piece upside down or if the drill holes are on the top and not the bottom you will think it is not going together right. I suggest take your time read the instructions and if it is not fitting right take a breath and look at the hole placement or how you have it laying. ( we had to flip and unscrew stuff because of our own mistakes) Invest in a drill went by so fast. 2 people in about an 1 and 30mins the instructions say 70mins we could have done that if we didn't mess and not pay attention. Oh and the one thing I didn't like because of me is that it is not as tall as I thought it would be but still has that loft feel and has enough space for my 5 year old reading area.

Not sure how this is rated for 450 pounds. My son is 100 pounds, and it shakes so much when he is up there. The ladder has a screw that was somehow sheared off in the first two weeks of use. The side panel (you know, the one that holds the slats that hold the mattress) cracked, so now we have to reinforce it. A lot of the wood pieces cracked when we were putting it together, but unfortunately, we didn’t have another option for a bed frame. The pink is great. The quality is terrible. Just awful. My son doesn’t roughhouse or play ON the bed, just underneath. I don’t expect this bed to last more than a year. It is unstable and rickety. There were also missing screws, bolts, stickers, and a few other pieces of hardware. All the wood bits were there, though.

Kind of torn on this review. On one hand my daughter loves her bed! However, putting it together was a nightmare. The instructions were so unclear. Most of the way through we were just kind of figuring it out. Took 2 of us to put it together. It’s not as stable as I would like but no complaints from my daughter. She loves that her bed is off the ground but her favorite part is the under bed part. Got her some loft bed curtains from amazon and she has her own little personal space with pillows and blankets. So coming from mom 3/5 stars. Nice price point, looks nice after assembly but hard to put together. From the occupants POV 5/5 for functionality.
