The color is stunning but it does not last any longer than any other nail polish of similar value. And it certainly does not last as long as actual gel polish. I have been using gel polish with a UV light for 15 years. All brands tend to last about the same amount of time...2 weeks. Not this polish. I was very disappointed that I spend money on something that didn't live up to its promises. Lesson learned. ... show more

The color is correct but the bottle is not labeled “step 1” or indicative of being the Essie gel color. Label says “nail lacquer”. I had this done at the salon last month which is why i bought my own set. Top coat arrived right; just concerned the color isn't the right product.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Essie, when the couture came out I was so excited to find a nail polish that I can do at home that holds up to my lifestyle. This picture is my nails after 5 days of lots and lots of hand washing and chemicals used for cleaning. Now with that said, the reason for the one star is because this shade of Sequ-In The Know, looks NOTHING like advertised. This is 4 coats because it’s so sheer, but it’s also very copper looking as opposed to pink like advertised.
