The camera is easy to set up and bring online on home WiFi. Picture quality is good, but most have a good amount of light for a color picture.

This is a great camera that works well. You can swivel the camera from the app in your phone, toggle between night and day vision, and communicate via the speaker. I did encounter an issue after owning for a couple months and the support team was super responsive and assisted with troubleshooting/replacing.

The Vimtag Pet Camera C22 is a 4MP high def security camera that is excellent for keeping an eye on your dog or cat while you are away at work. This is a complete package and the camera has many useful features: ⁃ pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) ⁃ full 360 degree rotation ⁃ high-def 4MP color view with night infrared ⁃ phone app to control camera view and other features ⁃ motion tracking with phone notification of movement ⁃ ability to turn on/off communication via two-way audio ⁃ ability to trigger “alarm” sound at camera ⁃ ability to take snap shots or video ⁃ storage on SD card ⁃ (optional) encrypted cloud storage subscription for monthly fee The camera is powered via USB; wall adapter and cable are included. It can be wall or ceiling mounted and a bracket that fits onto the bottom of the camera is provided, along with a screw kit and positional sticker for the wall/ceiling to help get screw holes drilled. My experience with the product is very good. If you are looking for a white camera with clean finished appearance, this is appealing. It is indeed a bright, high-def picture and it is easily controlled from the app. You can see and hear everything in the room where you put the camera. The alarm sound works, although it’s not super loud. The voice communication works really well and words can be understood. I do think you need to have a high-bandwidth internet network to make all this work well, of course. The camera can be set to a lower standard def picture if needed. It took me awhile to get an account initialized, though, due to the need to get the installation security code within a 60 second time limit! I liked the installation instructions which are very good, using a QR code on the bottom of the device and after you enter your wifi credentials it can emit a sound message that the camera’s microphone hears and configures the camera. My only problem was that I just could never get my email open fast enough to check the one-time security code. I recommend having a computer up and ready and logged into the email account you are going to use as you install the phone app and create your new Vimtag account. I highly recommend the Vimtag pet camera to anyone looking for a way to get a clear view of one room where your pet would need to be monitored and that you would want to “alarm” or shout at from across the web, LOL.

We ordered this one to replace the last one that we broke. I thought it was the same model, but this one can not be adjusted to look lower. We keep it on the mantel to watch the dogs when we’re away and want it to be out of reach, but it can’t go down to the floor, only up or side to side. I don’t know why they changed it.

This pet cam is a nice value for the sale price. The picture isn't bad and isn't difficult to set up. The motion response is a little laggy. I would not even consider using it for a child because it does use WiFi. My Review Criteria: I do not review anything that I don't want/need for my own personal use and I have enough knowledge about it to provide accurate and useful details.
