I was super nervous about purchasing a third party lens. I watched several reviews and comparisons regarding this lens and the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 LET ME SAY…this lens did not disappoint. I’ve taken some wonderful pictures. The AF is extremely fast and the lens feels very well made. This lens feels and look better than the Nikon lens honestly. I will be purchasing the 50mm f/1.8 for my Nikon Z5 & Z50

It fits a bit snug but it’s build quality is premium, it takes super crisp photos and has very responsive auto focus. Great Len’s for the money.

I've been looking at this lens for a while and decided to take a chance. Took a few test frames, put it back in the box and sent it back. Center was sharp, outside of that was mushy. Did a few headshots, they seemed fine, full body photos, center of torso was fine, face was out of focus. And before you wonder, shot at 1.8, 2.2, 2.8, 3.5 all same results all done in nice soft light with fast shutter on Nikon Z8.

I like the fact that when the AF works, the clarity is to notch. What I don't like is it seems to be sporadic. Works sometimes and other times not. I use it on the Nikon Z8
