For reference, my cats are still small as they are almost a year old. One is around 10-11 lbs while the other is 7 (the one shown with the pink vest is the bigger of the two!). They both fit great and had enough room to settle down comfortably. The zippers have a locking feature to clasp them together, making it more safe if your cat is a bit of an escape artist. You can wash the liner inside, but I also added a puppy pee pad in case, wrapping it around the liner. Went through TSA just fine (JetBlue- do a private screening! They're very nice). The inside also has a little leash clip, perfect for if your cat has a harness on. Great quality overall, sturdy and keeps its shape, not flimsy at all! Made the trip so much easier knowing my cats were safe and comfortable. Like with any carrier and most things with cats, I would say get them used to them way in advance before traveling. My cats are comforted by my scent so I put some of my clothes/blankets in the carriers and left them out where they usually relax. ... show more

Bought this to transport a Saluki puppy by air from Sacramento SMF to New York JFK in February 2024. Puppy fit right into the carrier. Very easy to carry and handle. Zippers are good and the construction is sturdy. As you can see from the pics the puppy was very comfortable. Gifted the carrier to the new owner. 10/10 will buy again if I need to transport a puppy by air. ... show more

Used for several Delta flights from Panama City, FL to Detroit, MI and then to Tokyo. Bought two for two cats, one weighing 9 pounds and the other 16 pounds. Both cats seemed comfortable, fit under the seats, and it was easy to open/ close to access cats while going through TSA in the US. One of the cats also spent most of her time clawing at the mesh and fabric, but it held up just fine. Plan to reuse it in a few years when we move back to the US. ... show more

I bought this entirely for a one-way cat move where my flight happened to be on Alaska Airlines, which seems to have the least under seat space of any airline I've seen, at least for pet carriers. This carrier worked out great. The openings on three sides, the shoulder strap, and the board on the bottom all came in handy. I unzipped the board cover and put a "pee pad" in there just in case. Kitty was not terribly convinced at first, but when I first got him to go in (a week before the flight) I started giving him cat treats through the slightly unzipped zipper, then let him out after he was done eating treats. After doing this every day he learned the box was a nice place to be and he wouldn't get trapped in it. Just before time to go to the airport I wonder if he suspected people were leaving and wanted to go with us because he got into the carrier on his own! Amazingly he tolerated the flight much better than I thought. I also put a familiar scrap of blanket in there to make it seem more like his safe hiding spot and used a towel to cover up the carrier some of the time to make him feel a little more hidden. Usually I can find some sort of fault in this sort of product, but with this one I really couldn't. I'll be using this in the future to take him to the vet because, even though it seems rather small, he seems to really like it as a nice safe hiding place. ... show more

This is a great travel carrier! Pros: -Perfect size for most airlines -Comfortable, removable pad inside -Luggage strap - perfect to slide carrier onto luggage -Shoulder Strap - also great to use in cars to strap cat into seat -Ventalated - on all four sides, so it can go on international flights too -ID Tag Cons: -Size is small - full grown cats cannot fully stand -Pocket does not zip -No velcro to keep pad in place I bought this carrier for travelling with my cat. It was perfect for Southwest, fitting comfortably under the seat without squishing my cat. It has a clip that I connected to her harness, which was great during security as my girl is an escape artess. I also was able to strap her into the car snuggly using the shoulder strap around the car’s seat. She was snug, and I was assured with the fact that she would most likely be safe in an accident. My favorite part though was that my cat seemed calmer in this carrier than most of her others. I think the small size comforted her, as most cats seem to squish into tiny spaces.
