It is small and lightweight (only 0.6 lbs. according to the description), making it easy to take with you on the go. The VILTROX RGB Led Panel Light has become an essential part of my setup for run and gun video applications. The panel has adjustable brightness and color temperature setting, which proves invaluable in achieving the desired illumination and temperature matching for any given scenario. While I don't use the RGB function as much, it's nice to know they are there if I ever needed more effect or mood lighting. The back of the panel houses the controls, which are straightforward (one clickable wheel, mode and ch/group buttons), while the digital display provides clear feedback. The included battery (NP-F550) runs for about an hour at 100% brightness with a full charge and is swapable if you had extras. You can also power it with a usb c cable plugged into a power source as well. Considering its impressive attributes and performance, the VILTROX RGB Led Panel Light offers great value for money. Its competitive pricing, especially in comparison to other alternatives, makes it a compelling investment.

The first time I used the light, it was great. A few reviews stated it wasn't that bright, which I disagree with. I think it was quite bright for the size. I'm very much a hobby photographer and amateur, so I really just needed a portable light for taking pictures in low light areas. The first outing I took it on, it worked fantastically. I didn't have it screwed onto my camera or anything, just held it and moved it around as needed. However, the second time I took it out, it worked fine for about five minutes, then started randomly shutting off. The battery power was about 75 percent, and plugging it back in after taking it out would temporarily solve the issue, but after another few seconds it would shut off again. Granted, a few months passed between the first use and the second, and I did buy a used light, but it was still disappointing. Since too much time has passed to return it, I'll probably just look for another light elsewhere since other reviews do mention battery issues. EDIT: Viltrox reached out and sent me a new battery, free of charge. It seems to be working okay, and I can move the light around without consequence. Haven't used it extensively yet, but I will update again after I've had a better opportunity to test it out.

I read the reviews and settled on the this light. The light I ordered is most likely a newer version because the luminosity intensity can be dialed in faster than the video reviews describe. This version comes with a battery and charger. The mount is the only weakness but it's actually solid, so no complaints. If no one had mentioned the mount, I wouldn't even notice the quality. Besides, you can use any mount you want. The LED lights are different than the video reviews describe and actually are improved, in my opinion. Everything else is as described. It is very bright and the light spreads very evenly. The color tone can be changed and I get great results with either tone. The light is brightest when you set the tone to 4500K. I checked all the reviews and I boiled it down to this one or the Aputure AL-M9. I chose this one over the Aputure because I like that the battery is removable and the tone can be changed on the fly, unlike the Aputure. It has all the features of the Aputure but it has a removable battery and dynamic tone balance. For those reasons alone, is why I chose this one. I don't like devices with Lithium batteries built-in. Also, the VILTROX L116T can use external power as well, so you options for endless power. It's light, well built, and looks professional. The video quality is greatly improved with this light. I can say that I believe this is the best light as of late 2018/early 2019. According to many reviewers, this is considered one of the best quality lights for the price. I have no regrets and would buy this light again. I highly recommend this light if you need something bright but soft at the same time. The variable tone is a serious benefit and time saver if you need a tone change on the fly. Again, the Aputure doesn't have this feature.
