  • OUTSTANDING Quality, Well done Viltrox!
Size: 25mm F1.7
I absolutely love this thing. Viltrox is doing sorcery with this 25mm lens. The price is just amazing for the quality you get, it's seriously good. I've been using it on my Sony a6700, and I'm finding myself grabbing that camera way more often now. The image quality this lens produces is just fantastic, and the F/1.7 aperture is a game-changer for me. It's been a huge help in low light, which was always a problem with my other gear. My advice: don't overthink it, just buy it! You won't regret it. I just hope Viltrox decides to make a zoom lens soon. They would absolutely destroy the competition if they did! ... show more

  • Viltrox has come a long way, impressed.
I shoot with Sony a6700, APS-C camera. With that being said, at 27mm, this lens about 40mm (x1.5 crop). Fun and addictive to use, light weight to put into my camera bag for the day. No, this isn’t a Sony lens. It’s not “perfect”, but perfect is boring. Build quality is great, metallic matte black, feels good in the hand, and fast response to the auto focus. The image quality of this lens is impressive, making it a thrilling experience to be using the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 out in the field. It gives a Fijifilm look and I’m not complaining, I love it. Sharpness is great in the center of the frame, corners look good. But warned. You’ll need to adjust aperture to make corners look sharp. If using f1.2, there will be some softness, but hardly noticeable. Unless you’re pixel picking, then of course you’ll find something. It does hunt for a bit, searching for the subject to focus on, but it’s easy to adjust and learn how to avoid it. I watched YouTube videos, before buying this lens. I would recommend it, it will give a better understanding about the Viltrox. If you’re looking for something different and more interesting shoots, this one might be your next lens to add to your kit. ... show more

  • Great Low Light Lens
Great lens, one of the best features of this lens is the click or click less aperture ring. I particularly like the clicking it reminds me of the old style lenses. The sharpness of the lens is incredible. I rarely use flash which is why I purchased this lens, my camera Sony a6700 and this lens are a perfect match. ... show more

  • Fantastic quality and value but with a few annoyances!
Size: 135mm F1.8
I was actually blown away by the performance of this lens when photographing indoor sports in poor gymnasium lighting! Very sharp, fast and accurate autofocus (90%+ were razor sharp) and gorgeous picture quality for a lens of this type and price! The only complaints I have (sadly these are kind of important) there is no way to lock the aperture ring setting into auto. To make matters worse the settings are not predictable (each click may not equal one increment) and changes setting far too easily (multiple times during the shoot I accidentally changed it). This was after taping the ring to try to avoid it moving inadvertently! Sadly one more issue was updating the firmware. I was only successful doing it using the cellphone app. To set up an account (which is required) and to get through verification code I had to use gmail as my other email providers did not receive it. The good news is it can be done with a little effort. Nevertheless, for the price it is a steal just be careful to avoid unwanted aperture changes! ... show more

  • Great talking head, and wide angle lens for landscape photography
Affordable, great low light performance, amazing auto focus, and pretty dang sharp. This lens is great, I use it for talking head videos where I need a wider angle but not too wide. It looks great, fits in my small run and gun bag, and does everything I expect out of it. Fairly light lens, not too bad compared to other's in its class. And its cheaper than the rest too. It would be hard to beat this lenses value proposition, and it punches well above its weight. Easy recommend. ... show more

  • Gorgeous bokeh, incredible depth of field, amazing low-light!
Size: 13mm F1.4
The media could not be loaded. I started my film making journey back in August of 2023, starting with a gimbal and a iPhone XR I have since bought a Sony FX30 + Tamron 11-20mm f2.8 lens to start with. Mounted on the DJI RS3 and I was off to the races! I used that setup for about 7 months and it was a darn good setup, but that f2.8 was holding back the FX30 by a lot. When it comes to real estate, lighting can fluctuate like crazy and having that f1.4 is amazing. Shooting in S-Log3 gives me an incredible amount of latitude to work with After spending a month looking for the next best 11mm-ish lens, I started to see a lot of people post about this and I had to try it. And I was not disappointed in anyway possible. I am not a photographer by any means but I dabble in it and man, that extra 2 stops of light is incredible. 2 weeks in and the lens is built extremely well, it feels like a quality product. Even with the FX30, Viltrox 13mm, matte-box, and etc. I can still easily balance it on my DJI RS3. Fantastic stuff. I love the way the aperture ring feels, some people would like some detents but it's not that bad IMO. The focus ring feels nice and smooth as well, but I honestly which it racked focus quicker. Still not that bad of a compromise! Pros: Bokeh, insanely beautiful Low chromatic aberrations Very low/no distortion Metal body, metal lens hood Cons: ??? Not free Not sealed to the camera body Overall, I am extremely pleased with this combo. I plan to buy a the Viltrox 27mm and 75mm f1.2 lenses in the future. Keep up the phenomenal work Viltrox! ... show more

  • Quality control is really bad, maybe too smalll to work right.
Size: 28mm F4.5
These people cannot seem to send a new working lens to me and I'm done with them. First one they sent only focused about half the time so I sent that one back to get another the second one was used!!! So I guess if you could get them to send a good lens ---it might be right. I would say not a good gamble. ... show more
