The f/1.4 aperture produces absolutely creamy, dreamy bokeh that isolates subjects perfectly. The all-metal build and included metal hood make it feel like a premium $600 lens in my hand. The autofocus is snappy and quiet, and it works perfectly with Sony’s Eye-AF. It’s incredibly sharp in the center even wide open. As expected, this lens performed very well. Very sharp and fun to use for portraits. This is a good lens for the price. Auto focus is not perfect, but good enough for what I needed.
