We absolutely love this light - so much so that we’ve bought 3 of them total to put in various rooms! It’s the perfect balance of modern and rustic with the wood and metal, and it’s just so gorgeous without being obtrusive. I do wonder how long the led lights will last, but if it’s 20,000 like the package says, we’ll get to enjoy these lights for years to come. You can change the color temperature of the light up at the base (which I personally like, because that means there aren’t any remotes for me to lose). We hung this in a small bedroom with average 8ft ceilings. The light has limited dispersement through the room and has the feel of a canned light, with the light bright in one area (the middle of the room) while the walls don't get much light. Not a fan. You set your search criteria for dimmable lights and Amazon gives you this. It's not dimmable, of course. So shame on Amazon for not filtering it. Shame on seller for not including that in the listing title. Shame on the manufacturer for not adding that capability. And shame on me for not reading the fine print in the product description until after I installed two of these, and a new dimmer switch. The profile is a bit tall. I would personally prefer a thinner option. Of course, the design detail wouldn't be noticeable on a thinner light. So it's a trade off to consider. The is a bit chintzy, so probably not worth the trade off in hind sight. Install is direct and easy. The opening for wiring to enter the housing is too small for more than one romex. I had two lights in series, so I had to drill the hole wider to get bith romex wires in for the first light in series. It's a very simple modification that has no impact to the light's appearance or function. Overall, there is nothing majorly wrong with this light. There's nothing really impressive or satisfying either. Edit: After writing my review, the seller (vegaielights) reached out to me and offered a "full refund" in response to my review. I accepted the offer. They then asked me to modify my review. I let them know I would not change my review of the product itself. However, I would note the proactive, generous response if the seller. ... They then clarified "full refund" included only one of the lights in the order of two, so it was really a 50% refund. They went on to specifically ask me to rate the product 4 stars. I asked them to change thier product title to include non-dimmable, to help shoppers more easily identify the product. They declined. The product is what it is. Definitely not four stars in my opinion. And since the seller tried to bribe a better rating without reading the actual feedback or lifting the smallest finger to help future customers, I lowered my rating to 1 star. ... show more
