For the price, this one is tough to beat! I wanted to mount a 24" HDTV in my small home office to free up some shelf space. After glancing through the other reviews and looking at the available photos I decided to order the mount and give it a try. The mount arrived in an open box which gave me pause, but all was OK. The mount, well-labeled hardware and excellent instructions were included. I was a little overwhelmed with the number of parts that came with this mount, but quickly figured out that you get more than you need because each mount fits various sizes of TVs. I didn't have to add any extensions as the basic mounting plate fit perfectly to the back of my TV without the need to add anything. I used four screws on the back of the TV and the two bolts into the wall which left me with a lot of extra parts. NOTE: The bolts that go into the wall require a socket or a wrench to tighten down. I had expected them to be Phillips head type but was surprised that this was not the case. Using a stud finder I located where to place the mount, made sure things were level and drilled two corresponding pilot holes into the studs. Tightening down the bolts went fairly swift with a ratchet wrench. I would suggest putting the mounting plate on your TV ahead of mounting the arm. Then you can simply lift the TV and place it on the arm, finishing with two small screws to hold the plate on the back of the TV. The mount appears well made, feels very solid and moves easily once you loosen up a few things. It's not difficult to mount as long as you know how to find the stud in a wall, drill a couple of holes and can use a socket wrench. Two pairs of hands would be helpful, but the mount can be installed by one person. I'm pleased with it and would buy more if the need arose.     • Great Wall Mount! Tips for Installation

Ordered on Saturday morning and it was delivered to my home on Saturday afternoon. I love Amazon same-day delivery! The item is heavy duty. I expect it to last a long time. Installation is pretty simple, but I have some suggestions: (1) I have a Samsung 32" TV. The four attachment holes on the back of the TV are recessed so the M8 screws included with this wall mount aren't long enough. I followed the suggestion of another review writer and went to Home Depot to buy four M8 1.25 20mm panhead screws. They were the right size, but the wrong length--too long. Rather than make another trip to Home Depot, I ended up using three extra washers with each screw. My suggestion is just to be aware that the included screws might be too short; M8 1.25 15 mm might be a good length for the replacement screws for a Samsung. (2) The holes on the back of my Samsung TV are 8" apart so I had to attach the extenders on this wall mount to change the distance between the holes from 4" to 8". The extenders have to be put on in a particular way to end up with 8"x8" and it took me a while to figure it out. The extenders have notches on one side. When you attach them, the notches on the two left-side extenders should be on the outside (the left side) and the notches on the two right-side extenders should also be on the outside (the right side). The instructions in the installation instructions show this, but it's not completely clear. If you don't attach the extenders this way, they'll be off by just a few millimeters and the holes won't line up. See the attached picture. Great wall mount! I'm pleased. ... show more

    • Good Bracket, reasonable price, and very strudy
Very nice bracket. Installation was easy and instructions were good. I had two minor issues with it: 1) The bottom bolt that goes in the wall is tricky to turn since its very close to the hinge screw and there is not enough space to fit a socket head on it, so its manual wrench time. Would be nice to increase spacing by a simple 1/8th of an inch to allow a socket head to go on and turn the bolt faster. 2) I had to send my son to the hardware store to get 30 mm bolts to fit the 32" Samsung. They do not come with the bracket. TVs are changing in construction very fast so be aware of the need to get more bolts if the threads on your TV are deep. Finally, with TVs being so light these days, I wonder if bracket vendors will lighten up also. This bracket almost weighed as much as the TV. ... show more
