I’ve been running a full Victron setup in my RV since 2021, including the MultiPlus inverter/charger, the SmartSolar 100/30 charge controller, the BMV-712 battery monitor, and the Digital MultiControl panel. After years of use across various climates and conditions, I can confidently say this system has been absolutely rock solid. Each component was easy to install and configure, and the integration between devices is seamless. The MultiPlus handles all of my AC needs flawlessly, switching between shore power, generator, and battery without a hiccup. The SmartSolar charge controller keeps my solar system optimized and running efficiently, even on cloudy days. The BMV-712 gives me precise battery monitoring at a glance, and the MultiControl panel makes managing the inverter simple from inside the RV. What I appreciate most is how this system has given me real freedom. I can boondock for days without stress, knowing exactly how my batteries are doing and trusting that the system will just work. Perfect upgrade for our 2008 Tiffin Phaeton

This inverter is probably the best quality inverter I have ever owned. I bought it to replace the original Xantrex RS2000 in my motorhome. It was modified sine, and multiple modern electronics would not play nice with it, and we wanted a residential fridge, so it was time. I ordered one that was listed in used/good condition, so it was missing the owners manual and the upper mounting bracket. As a workaround, I drilled holes in the very sturdy housing itself and put the bolts through that directly. As far as running my coach, EVERYTHING runs better! My GFI's no longer hum, the microwave runs hotter, and I can now run my wife's fancy DeLonghi coffee maker and splendid washer dryer combo straight off the inverter. It also ties into my existing Victron solar ecosystem well. I have yet to figure out how to set up auto start for my own 8000 generator, but it looks like it will accommodate that once I figure out the wiring. Simply amazing charger/inverter

The MultiPlus was the perfect upgrade for our 5th wheel to improve our off-grid capabilities. We have (4) 100Ah BattleBorn batteries. The input current limit makes this completely compatible with our 2200W generator but limits charging current from 120A to about 75A. This has not been an issue as the batteries still charge at an astonishing rate. Best of all, the MultiPlus charger works well with our Renogy Rover solar controller allowing us to simply use whatever is available to charge/maintain the batteries. The 50A built-in transfer switch is perfect for RVs with a 30A input because the MultiPlus can be installed directly in line with shore power and it will handle the logic for when yo pass through or when to invert. We have a 50A shore power input which has 2 hot wires. The MultiPlus can only handle a single hot wire. We added an external transfer switch to pass shore power directly to the load center. The other option was to use (2) MiltiPlus units. For the most part, this unit cannot be heard from inside the RV. The one exception is during bulk and absorption charging after a moving day. This only lasts for a few hours and the unit is silent again before bed time. Programming the MultiPlus was a breeze, just follow the manual. There are many program examples to follow and help you select the program that is best for your application and battery type. The electrical wiring was also quite easy. Bought this 3,000 Watt unit for my 2006 Catalina 36 MK2 yacht. My son and I installed this together with Victron Cerbo GX and the display, as well as 500amp shunt. The system has 3 x 200 amp hour LiFePO4 CHINS batteries, 3 water tank level sensors, a Renogy 175 Watt solar flex panel and Victron MPPT solar converter. It has worked well for 3+ years now. I monitor the system from anywhere in the world. Very happy with the performance. Appliances include Microwave, Air-conditioner, electric space heater, induction cooker top (not all at the same time as it will trip the yacht's circuit breaker.) ... show more

The product is durable and sturdy, and works great powering my house overnight without a genset. Update: This product, once installed in a permanent install is faulty in an interesting way. It reports a different voltage ( by 0.32 volts) from my battery bank than is provided (by direct measurement) to the input of the Multiplus. This has a couple of impacts - first it will report "Low Battery Voltage" when no such condition exists, and second it will overcharge your battery bank by the same amount (0.32volts). They Victron Smartphone app reports voltage correctly, the Victon Connect app on my PC reports a different value consistently. I attempted to resolve this issue under warranty - to which it was stated 1. Send the unit back at my cost. 2. They will try to replicate the problem 3. If they can replicated they will decide whether to repair or replace - it is implied that any replacement shipping will be at my cost. This process may take 3 to 5 weeks according to them. This does not sound like the kind of warranty a company like Victron should offer - but they rely on their resellers to handle warranty claims. I will create a video later and attach to this review, and future Victron customers can decide how they wish to proceed - given that the warranty when exercised is quite a costly surprise with no guarantee that you'll get a replacement unit. They get a free faulty unit from which to learn where their quality control falls short. I'm generally a fan of Victron and have several other products of theirs - precisely because I thought they would stand by their products which are a notch above in design from other units - and if they work they are worth the extra price. The pictures are at the same point in time - one the phone app - reports the correct voltage as a direct voltmetere measurement. The other is the Victron Connect PC application - and reports what the MultiPlus THINKS is the correct voltage - it is incorrect by an amount that makes charging risky, and operating a challenge ... show more

Dependability and Quality = Victron

I upgraded a Victron Centaur battery charger and a failed Xantrex 1800 watt inverter to this new all in one, Victron battery charger/3000 watt inverter. Wow, what a great product! My friend from Germany, a Victron consultant had me order the Victron CERBO, Smart wires, Shunts and Victron monitör to help monitor inputs from shore power, generator and solar. I can now monitor power inputs and battery levels from 1000 miles away on my iPhone. We also wired the Victron Solar MPPT controllers to the CERBO to monitor the solar panels. Not the best for lipofe4 batteries

This inverter can not be set up properly to achieve long life for lipofe4 batteries. The problem is With the inverter setup. The low voltage disconnect can be set wherever you want but the minimum voltage to restart the inverter after a low voltage shut down is fixed at one volt above the shut down voltage. If you want to run your batteries in the 20-80% range it is virtually impossible. The inverter was designed for flooded or AGM batteries. It kinda works for lipofe4 ... show more
