  • Good so far and better than 350’ model
Size: 12V 250VA
Just got it so can’t opine in reliability, but can share some initial observations: I also have a Victron 12-350 which I bought recently for a different system. I find the 250 model better for the Wattage as it has a standard GFCI outlet in the output side (with two plugs) which is safer and more convenient than a single not protected plug in my 350, and also it is no longer needed to open the unit and move the grounding wire for it to be grounded according to the US code. You can skip that part in the manual. I did open it and it looks different inside from the picture in the manual. The manual is written for several models including the 250, but this one actually is different. They should have included a page with an update for this model. Size-wise, the 250 is equal or even slightly wider than the 350. In terms of functionality, this model is identical to 350. As the other one, it does not have a built-in Bluetooth, it requires a Victron Direct Smart plug-in for it to work with the app. Overall, I recommend this unit. ... show more

  • Best for sensitive electronics. Used in rv when camping off grid. Using lithium battery
Size: 12V 250VA
Power switch operates in on position or standby, it monitors for demand of power use. Similarly to a generators idle standby. A little heavy, quiet.

  • Fantastic! Quiet! Dependable!
Size: 12V 250VA
Hi, Watts and VA are the same thing. V x A= Watts and V x A = VA. The Watt/VA rating is interchangeable and from my experience the Victron Phoenix series are pretty accurate in their ability to deliver their rated output. That being said, their surge output seems a little optimistic. My 12 250 seemed to trip out at 300 Watts/VAs. But I can attest to its automatic reset after it tripped, which led to it tripping and resetting again and again. It also has a pretty low standby consumption rate of 4 Watts/VAs, make sure it is not in “eco” mode or it can automatically shut-off if it doesn’t sense a load. I have mine powering up a Nuc computer(25 Watts/VAs) and a 32” led tv(25 Watts/VAs also). When I tried to power up my beer fridge is when I had issues. Ultimately very happy with it. As too longevity, I will edit in the future if I have a problem. ... show more

  • Bought to run my starlink on boat
Size: 12V 250VA
Victron stuff is good quality. A cheap 250 wont run starlink on our boat, but the victron one does.

  • Looks awesome, Silent operation, quality built.
Size: 12V 250VA
I can't say much about the actual product yet, as I have yet to hook it up. Although it does look great. It did not come with the cables as pictured. I'm going to contact the seller to see if they will supply them, otherwise I may return. I will update this review once I hear back from them. ----------- Update: 7-28-2018 I contacted the company, and it turns out the picture is an older model. I did verify this with the manufacturer. Despite this, they did agree to honor the picture, and send the cable. Their response was very quick, and professional, and highly satisfactory! Mobile Power Pros will continue to receive my business. I did temporarily hook this unit up with some cables laying around (probably not the best cables, but they work.) I also hooked this unit up with the Bluetooth dongle. It is silent (with low to no load) the fans only kick on when required. I will do a no load draw test, and report results. It is a very good looking, heavy, well-designed (from this lay persons perspective) unit. So far, I'm loving everything this company makes. ... show more

  • Easy installation
Size: 12V 250VA
I did have to purchase an adapter to allow programming the device from my computer. Not terribly expensive, but the adapter was roughly 25% of the price of the equipment. It would be nice if Victron would update their equipment to include Ethernet, USB, or built-in Bluetooth for this purpose. Even so, this was the perfect solution for me as a small backup power supply for my alarm system. No more annoying beeps all night long to tell me the power is out, or struggling to remember how to tell the alarm system to quit complaining about it. ... show more

  • Loud but works well
Size: 12V 250VA
I see other people commenting on how it isn't super loud, but that is not the case for me. I'm wondering if perhaps my unit is not functioning properly. In eco mode when it kicks on the fan is extremely loud at first. Then calms down as the load flattens out. Other than the noise, it seems to function well for the price. And the low idle consumption is the primary reason I purchased ... show more
