I have this knife in a few sizes, and it's my go-to for knife gifts for my nieces and nephews as they graduate college. It's one of the best value knives you can buy - not overly expensive to where you're afraid to use it, but not so cheap that it doesn't hold an edge. It's a perfect balance with a great grip and durable blade that will serve you well for years if you take care of it.

I've had 4-5 of these over the years. They're very good, especially for the price. This used to be my favorite chef's knife, until I bought a Shun. This can't compare to that, but for the price it's a great everyday knife. I use it for cutting thick-skinned things like squash and watermelon that might be too much for the Shun. It's light and easy to handle, and the Fibrox handle gives me a secure grip even when my hands and the handle are wet.

This is a great starter knife for anyone getting into cooking! Extremely sharp out of the box, light and easy to use. Handle feels great in the hand. Much cheaper to purchase one of these and figure out what you do or don’t like and make future knife purchases based on that. I’ve used it on meat, veggies, etc and it works effortlessly. I recommend buying a sheath to protect it wherever you store it in your kitchen.

Tried it because it is the knife recommended by a major cooking show. Was leary because of the price less than 50 bucks. AM NOT DISAPPOINTED! Really sharp, nice ergonomic handle, good balance and is holding its edge well.

I’m not a professional chef, or really even a cook. But using this knife makes slicing and cutting fun. It’s really sharp and easy to handle, feels like quality in your hands, and is very easy to keep clean. I’ve never had a knife outside of a knife block set and this one is by far the best knife owned.

Good kitchen knife so far. I was reluctant to buy a Victorinox knife since I've had a stainless steel Swiss Army Knife for many years that knife did not exactly excite me. I'm kind of a tool guy - and that extends from the garage to the kitchen. I expect my tools to work and be serviceable otherwise they get recycled. American Test Kitchen gave it a great review and we needed a new knife ASAP....so here we are. Thus far, its worked well. It cuts tomatoes and onions well, has a nice grip and most importantly, my wife likes it. After 5 months its served us well. We'll see how it goes when it needs to be re-sharped (stainless steel can be a pain to sharpen)
