Value for money, this is a good bag. Lots of pockets and storage capacity for extras like pens, cooking utensils and enough room to put my uniform without being too bulky (as long as I fold it well). It has a decent thickness and feels more like an elongated laptop bag than a typical knife roll. The only thing that really annoys me is that my knives often fall out of their pockets.     • All in all, it is just a well made bag that also protects knives.
I'm not a professional in the food industry, however I travel a lot and know what a good bag feels/looks like. This is a very well made bag. I don't have any other knife bag/case/roll to use for comparison, so I can only speak to this particular bag. It folds in half like a book with two distinct semi-rigid sides as opposed to the rolls that, of course just roll up. There is also a two sided inner "page" with elastic loops on both sides. There are flaps to keep the knives on opposing sides from hitting each other in transit and there is . It has very nice pockets on the front for holding thermometers and other miscellaneous gadgets like a Kitchen IQ sharpener. The bigger pouch also fits my EatSmart digital scale. ... show more

I was not expecting the case to be as spacious as described. I like to BBQ and have my tools in one location. This case was the one I was looking for to meet my needs. More than enough space for the various knives including a 12 in brisket slicer. The case also has room for a knife sharpener, multi port temperature monitor, instant read thermometer, BBQ gloves, and a slicing fork. I would recommend buying a set of knife sheaths to protect the knife blade and the case. Solid bag for the price, lots of compartments for most all of my kitchen stuff. One end of the over the shoulder strap did begin to fray pretty quickly so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it five stars. I have it pretty full but not enough that it should be busting apart at the seems.

A bit on the big side, but I was mostly happy that it fit all my chef knives. I have quiet a collection of pearing knives... so finding a bag that can accommodate for all of my little babies is always a bit difficult. The material and and construction of the bag was well made. Good quality bag with plenty of slots for all of my Shuns. I recommend using edge guards when using this bag because your knives will slide around. One complaint. The placement of the shoulder strap hooks on opposite sides of the top opening is not very well thought out because you cannot open the bag completely to access your knives without unhooking the strap, Victronix should have put those strap hooks at the sides of the bag. ... show more

Stitching is a real concern and the pockets on the front could be stitched on instead of just flat, but we'll see how it goes in all fairness. My Mercer bag lasted 11 years!.

    • Worth the money, but larger than expected.
Went from using a victorinox 8 slot knife roll into this and the size increase in notable. But it's been a great bag to store all of my toys in.
