I used this awning this summer on a couple of camping trips and still looks fantastic and has held up well. Was the perfect size for my Renegade, and gave a decent amount of shade and even a spot to sit under during a light rain. Had room for a Coleman roll up camping table and 3 chairs underneath. I’m sure you could set it up by yourself but I tried and was really awkward and I ultimately gave up setting it up by myself and had my wife assist me with setting it up. Putting the awning away is much easier and all the poles fold into the end of the awning and into the storage bag. Then just roll up the fabric back into the storage back and Velcro it in tight then zip up the bag. Putting it away takes 5 minutes. The product came with all the parts and once staked and roped down the awning is pretty sturdy and stayed put during a storm one night. I could do without the big orange gawdy branding on the storage bag but, a smaller more subtle logo would be nice, but I can’t complain as the product works perfect and for hundreds less than name brand awnings is a great value.

This SUV tent is not the awning also pictured here (-- presumably to ameliorate the ratings?) This is the army green tent-style SUV-back-end type tent. This tent indeed has a few solid features: It is thick and appears to be seriously sun and water proof. It is large. I really like the flaps the come down over the sides. Upon first glance, it looked extremely well made. In fact, it is indeed well made with the below proviso: It is very difficult for one person to set up. All of the shock-corded poles need to be fed through three very long sleeves. Like many ordinary tents, after you feed the poles through the sleeves, you must hook in the pole ends into a pocket. Here, it is very difficult because you are also creating that dome you see in the picture. Domes don't just create themselves -- and they constantly want to collapse until you seat the pole end into the (admittedly very heftily-sewn) pocket. (Vevor -- how about some shorter sleeves and use of hooks instead?) Unlike ordinary tents, you cannot stake the tent ends down to create an opposing force for the dome creation. It is very hard to get the pole into the pocket end while the poles maintain their proper curvature, which they do not want to do. I also felt like the pole could snap during this process with all the extreme pressure. The tension was just so extreme! This was nearly impossible for me to do, as it required a lot of strength and coordination to stretch the tent's end pocket over the seemingly too-long pole. Life is too short to fuss with something over and over again for 15 minutes straight while cursing. Once it was up, it was lovely, and exactly what I was looking for. However, I cannot keep something that is so frustrating to put up. Strike one. Also, removing the poles at take down was equally very frustrating. The pole sleeves are very long, so tent poles do not simply slide out of the sleeves, but have to be coaxed out and fiddled with excessively, inch by inch, all the while the tent poles kept constantly coming apart within he pole sleeves. One of the shock cords broke (though not the tent pole). I don't understand why this process had to be so difficult. More cursing. Strike two. Maybe this could be for you if you are traveling with two people. I think that could make a big difference.

So I have been looking for an inexpensive awning for my converted Cargo Conversion Trailer. I think I looked at at least 20 to 30 awnings, but they were either to big, to expensive or just looked cheap. Then i found this one, and then i saw the price. The price is what threw me off at first, then i clicked on it an d saw what looked like an amazing deal. The contents showed the awning, the hardware and the pictures fit exactly what I wanted. I ordered it and was not disappointed, the packaging was clean, all the parts were bagged in plastic, and also bagged in small bag of the material the awning was made of. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to in stall with the provided hardware, also the fact there are more than one way to install the awning was a plus. This was a pleasant surprise for the price. I am actually ordering another one for trailer for the rear entry door.

Was easy to install and looks/works amazing. Was skeptical after reading reviews about not being able to install on to the mounting rails and the poles not locking, but I just think they were confused on installation. You have to take the plastic end cap off the rails to get the smaller 4 bolts in the mounting rail. To lock the legs you have to twist the leg, not the black plastic piece to tighten to the correct height.

I was a homeless veteran for over a year after a divorce and the beach was my therapy. I finally was able to buy one of these canopy’s and when mine came some of the railing was bent. My only option was to just return it. I hoped they could send parts or something. Especially when the canvas waterproof pack has VEVOR plastered with huge NON-sleek lettering. A+ for advertisement lol. In a side note for those that are not good at problem solving this system is designed to mount to your ire-existing roof rack. This means as per the instructions you may have to drill holes into your roof rack cross bars to mount it. Don’t be alarmed or freaked out. It’s just a roof rack. Most people never even use them. My Escalade didn’t have the clearance to mount it rail down but it still looks good. My reason for a low rating was purely based off dented rails, a hole in the waterproof cover/case and having to buy shorter bolts to mount it. I think it comes with 2” bolts to mount and you’ll hit your roof with that length so I had to buy 1 1/2” bolts. It was so close 🤷♂️. All in all I wish I could have just it gotten replacement parts etc for mine because it’s an amazing system.
