I gave this box a chance because it was less expensive then the “big name” plastic boxes, which requires you to buy one of their electrical boxes with outlet for like $45 while lowes has standard electrical single gang box with plug for under $5 AMD AND AND It comes with all the rubber grommets for the knock outs, ikr !! This enclosure gathers almost all the pieces and cables of Internet, LAN, cable, satellite, AV, antenna, and fiber and tucks them out of sight. Wireless access points, hubs, and Z-Wave modules need to be placed elsewhere, of course, since the metal box blocks radio waves. But modems, routers, switches, distribution amplifiers, and splitters have a home in a centralized location with access to the adjoining office, the basement with its cable and satellite service entrance, and a suspended ceiling that allows pulling cables to different rooms throughout the house as needs change over the coming years. The enclosure does have knockouts on the back, top, and sides for cables, plus electrical box knockouts in the bottom. Single-gang electrical boxes with plaster ears mount in the opening: I set the height of the ears the same as the device mounting tabs and then ran in sheet metal screws. Three large rubber grommets are included for the top, along with two medium grommets for the sides and a small grommet for a back knockout. The enclosure is designed to mount equipment with cable ties, a number of which were supplied. There are two mounting tabs on each side which can be bent to surface-mount to adjoining studs. I measured the desired height and marked it on the sides of the enclosure to set the depth, fighting the two tabs I needed to bend at the right height. There was just enough clearance in the bay for the enclosure to mount tightly against one stud while leaving a gap enough to the second stud for an existing electrical cable. Full disclosure: I ordered this VEVOR Structured Media Enclosure through the Amazon Vine program. As a user of the product, I have done my best to provide an honest review.

Excellent build quality, I needed a decent sized cabinet i wouldn't be afraid to hang in grandmas living room :-), got your attention? ok, so I grew up a bit and decided it was time to move out of a messy open cage to an enclosed space that can be covered or at least hidden. With 2x 24 port switches, fiber, patch panel and router, Telcom RG and cabling I figured this would fit. The unit came with all hardware for mounting, a nice long key and the gorgeous cabinet. There's ample room for most equipment and tiedown spots for hanging equipment. If our looking at this box you already know what you want. This is solid and the manufacturer put thought in to the finish and construction. The finish is so good I wont need to paint it. Art will be drawn on to it so that it looks more like a Livingroom item than a garage item. YMMV

Lots of options of size and shape, units are made of solid metal. It has various places to mount/attach. Holes are not punched out completely, which makes adding outlets, etc, a bit difficult. Ventilation is good enough for anything you would want to hide (low power streaming boxes, networking hubs, etc).
