Overall I am very pleased with this item. It's pretty heavy and seems to be well-made. All parts were included and seems pretty straightforward to assemble and install. I am knocking off 1 star because it is not packaged very well for shipping. While there was some styrofoam inside, it only protects the flat front and back of the panel: there is no protection for the edges and the box is not very durable. As a result, the panel was damaged during shipping. One corner of the box was torn open and the edge of thick part of the panel was dented and scratched. Fortunately, the damaged part will be behind and below the top surface of the stove, so it will not show, but it stinks to receive a damaged item regardless. If the damage had been in a place where it would have been visible, I would have returned it. The shelf seems sturdy enough for its intended purpose. The hooks that come with it and hang on the bar under the shelf could use to have one end closed up around the bar, as trying to get something off of them causes the hooks to come off the bar. I saw this same issue noted in other reviews, but it did not deter me because I don't know that I will use them anyway. The smaller "shelf" that is supposed to be for knife storage would probably be better used as a shelf. I can't imagine that running your knife blades down through a metal slot would be very good for the edges. For my purposes, I am not going to use it, so no biggie. All in all, I am happy with the purchase, and only wish it were not damaged.

This thing is incredible. It's sturdy, beautifully designed, and functionally wonderful. You'll probably need 2 people for the install because it is heavy, but other than that we love it. As an aside : we don't use the knife shelf for knives.

This product was exactly what I wanted for a basement sink. I needed something to protect the wall that was easy to clean. The added storage of the shelf was an awesome bonus! My only complaint is the corners have some discoloration. If it were going in my kitchen, I may not have been as happy. Additionally, I had to modify the installation of the shelf to accommodate for my faucet. We used the middle and right screws in the left and middle holes of the shelf. Aka we shifted the shelf further right by one screw. Obviously this is not what the manufacturer recommended, so I am careful to only put light items on this shelf. Finally, please be aware you need your own mounting hardware. Overall, I would purchase this exact item again for the exact same purpose.

It came wrapped front and back for protection and it was a pain in the butt to pull off. Some tips: 1. Got this tip from other review, trace a template of it using the box it came in. That way you can hold template up and pre-drill holes in wall and figure out placement 2. pull wrap off across at top, imagine a line, then roll it down in one piece. Figured that out by the time we got to the back. 3. Add both shelves before attaching to wall. Also, the thing is really heavy, it took my husband and I…and we really could have used a third person. That’s why you should do the template first to save your arms. Truth be told we are not “handy” people, so maybe to a person who is use to constructing things, it will go faster for you. We have a Samsung Induction Stove and it matched perfectly, same with the shelves it came with. I would recommend this product, the work is worth the look. PS - we didn’t want the big yellow Vevor sticker on the front - use a razor blade scraper to remove it and goo gone to remove any residue.

This backsplash is pretty good. Super easy to install and it came really well packaged. The shelf is handy for salt/pepper, oils, etc. - I wouldn't put spices on it because it'll get too warm. There are a few issues with it though. 1) The bar for hanging utensils is too short on ours so when you tighten the screws all the way it bends the side brackets in - so I didn't tighten them all the way. 2) The S-hooks are pretty loose on the bar and one has already gotten knocked off and fallen behind the stove - I would recommend pinching them closed a little on the top to keep them from falling off so easily. 3) The knife block part is basically useless. Knives are really tippy and will get dull from the metal on metal contact as you put them in and pull them out. I ended up replacing the knife block with two metal utensil cups which works, but was an additional expense. So would I buy it again, probably. But I might also keep looking to see if there were better options.
