I love the look of these. This is exactly what I was looking for, (European look) and the price is just right. I purchased the “brown” blackout. The brown is a lovely color that appears more light gray/taupe. It goes with grays and warms easily. I want to address a couple things that I believe are misleading from the other reviewer; i.e. the squeaky operation, the wrinkles, and the fabric valance. 1. The squeaky operation - This is a 120.00 purchase. The leading blind squeaks when I first draw it back on the dining room set, but only when I draw it slow. This just doesn’t bother me. I’m sure you could put some lubricant on it if you really cared that much about it. The fact is, it’s not got a wheel for the track, only sliding components, so you can expect a little squeak or two. 🤷♀️ 2. The wrinkles - The fabric is a nice feel, thicker vinyl. It is sheet style, not basket weave, so it doesn’t fray. It’s adequately darkening as it states in the description. The fabric panels come out of the box rolled up on a stiff cardboard roll for a reason… it is to prevent set in wrinkles, since vinyl has a bit of memory. Do not unroll them and then set the track down with installed panels and allow them to wrinkle on the ground like the other reviewer if you do not wish to have wrinkles on them. I made this mistake on my dining set. The wrinkles will relax out eventually (I’m sure I could steam it if I cared that much), but you can totally avoid this problem. It’s user error and not reading the instructions that will get you there.. install the panels after you’ve hung the track, like it says in the directions, and you won’t have wrinkle problems. 3. The fabric valence - I have not installed this yet, because I’m not sure it adds to the aesthetic of the blinds. There are likely ways to make it look better, like filing the gaps with foam tape to avoid the undesirable gaps that the other reviewer talks about. I may even build something to mount the fabric to eventually, but again, it was 120.00. I’m happy with this purchase as is. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase, as it elevates my space and helps it appear larger and more sophisticated than it did with my silk drapes, which costed 5x as much!
