Bought this to replace the Frigidaire Nugget ice maker that we bought from Wal-Mart in December which only lasted a few months (still dealing with the warranty on getting it fixed or refunded from Frigidaire). I usually buy my items from the Amazon Warehouse, I found one of these at the Warehouse which said was used.... I got it, and it seemed new when opening the box. I let it sit up for a about an hour and filled with water to do the initial cleaning and couldn;t get it to turn on. So my first one was a Lemon... was either tossed too much in shipping, or whoever had it before me and returned to amazon broke it. Anyways, I returned it and decided to get a new replacement instead of one from the warehouse instead. It came in and so far so good... This ice maker has a nice insulated door which keeps the ice frozen for longer. It only takes a few hours to completely fill up the ice bucket with ice which is very nice. And it makes a ton of ice, it definitely keeps up with our family. We are heavy water / ice drinkers. The water reservoir when filled will make a full bucket of ice, which will hold a little less than a gallon of water. The sensors are nice, I noticed when it's full. it completely puts the ice maker in standby mode which is cool. It completely shuts off until either the ice melts, or you get ice out and it needs to make more. I haven't hooked up the water line yet. I'll be doing that probably this weekend with an inline water filter on it. Great little ice maker. Better than the name brand one definitely.

I wish there was an option for zero stars First the product: This is now the 3rd one of these ice makers that has failed. They are obviously from the same Chinese manufacturer and vendors are just putting their name on them. Not a single one has lasted the warranty period. They have all failed in various ways. They typically work great for a while. I love having the pellet ice and they make a good supply quickly… when they work. After a few months they start making horrible noises (like fingernails on a chalkboard at ear splitting volume) or leaking all over the kitchen or just stopping all together. Then for the vendor, Vevor. If you choose to buy their products, don’t expect much if something goes wrong. They have declined to honor their warranty. They did ship a defective replacement which failed after 2 days and then suggested I find a local resource to fix it or just have Amazon return the product. This is NOT an Amazon issue, it’s their product and they should either replace or repair it as many times as it takes within the warranty rather than just washing their hands of it like they have. Amazon has generously offered to refund the purchase of the device and the warranty purchased and I sincerely hope this negatively affects Vevor. (I’m sure Amazon has a way to charge this back to Vevor)

This is the 3rd Nugget Ice Maker I have owned and ordered from Amazon. The first one was the Opal 1st Build 5 years ago. It stopped working and I ordered another GE Opal and it had problems and I returned it. This time I purchased the Vergo and by far it is the best one. I have it connected to a filtered water line and never have to manually add water to it. It seems to make ice faster than the other models. I like the pull down door which allows the ice bin to rest on while removing ice, the lid allows dripping water to return to the water bin and no messy dripping water on the cabinet. We are enjoying our Nugget Ice once more. By the way, the problem with my first ice maker was due to NOT flushing and cleaning it properly. Scale built up in the lines inside the unit and after I took it apart and cleaned it very well, it is now working again and I gave it to a dear friend who has been enjoying their Nugget Ice now for a couple of weeks. SO..... be sure and clean, clean, clean on a regular basis or your machine may clog up too.

I'm giving this a 2 star because it did produce ice for nearly a yr. 2 months in, the loudness nearly doubled. 8 months in and it started constantly getting stuck in "self cleaning" or "defrost mode". This caused the water return pump to stop completely. All suggested maintenance was completed 3 times during this span and I have a hole home water filter. I reached out to Asurion which stated it was still under manufacture warranty. Reached out to Vevor on their website in which time a representative asked for the typical feed back/pics/vids. I supplied what was requested and then got an email. Now, 7 days later...... nothing. I have replied daily for a "new" un-automated response to no avail. I will NOT be buying from Vevor again unless I opt in for Amazon's Asurion Complete protection plan. Good luck to y'all that are lookin!
