I have been wanting to upgrade my engine hoist with air over hydro since I bought it 5 years ago. Having the chance to pick this up for my machine was great. Install on my HF engine hoist was straight forward and a direct bolt in and took me about 20 minutes total including pulling the stand out of the corner. Using the air valve, it is easy to control lifting and monitoring at the same time. The lifting is easy to modulate and is consistent. Unit works as it should and has such good control I may pick up a second one for my tubing bender. Price/quality is what you would expect at this price point and I would not be surprised if this was from the same factory as the HF unit with just a different color and stickers. ... show more

I'm a huge skeptic of the brand Vevor - all bad experiences, so when I saw this I had to weight the chances of it being junk versus how much I want a 6-12ton cylinder. The air power was just the cherry ontop. It actually works well and came assembled fine. I'm curious what the seals looks like inside, but working is working. I use mine to split wood by mounting it to an ibeam with a wedge at the other end. ... show more

I got this hydraulic jack to lift up a porch roof and do a repair. I really like it. It has a long travel and moves fairly quickly. It goes up on both the up and down stroke of the handle. The release valve works smoothly and easily, better than a small one I have where the release valve is sticky. The instructions are very good and even show a schematic of the workings of the tool. I didn't think I needed instructions, but it was good to have them, more than I realized. The finish is a bit rough in a few spots, but it arrived clean and with no scratches to the paint. Second use trying to remove an engine and the ram is leaking. I'm having problems with the pins falling out. The handle keeper is also broke. I wish I had chose a different ram.

The product description indicates this is a hydraulic jack without any notice that it only works in a vertical position. This is apparently only known from the product insert or by reading helpful reviews, none of which were present when we ordered this product.
