I wish it opened higher but it works great. The tumbler press works great you just need to rotate the tumblers if your design goes the whole way around. have not used the hat press yet or the mug press as I already have a mug press. temp is easy to set as is the timer. I had to find a video to put it together as that was a bit tricky, the booklet that came with it was difficult to see how parts of it fit together.

Seems to heat and press good. The problem I have is when you slide out the platen, it hits the handle and it's difficult to close. you need to reach under and pull down on the handle which can make your shirt move if you are not careful. A small gripe about the control buttons, they seem backwards left increases and right decreases.

My heat press came with two small issues that could have been rectified easily with simple part replacements. One of the four screws which hold the straight handle on didn't have the phillips head punched properly, so there was no way to use the screw as the head was solid, lacking the + to place the screwdriver tip in. The large mug heating element was packed with the wires entering the heating element bent at a sharp 180 degrees and stuffed right under the base of the unit where it damaged the wire and pulled the jacket of the wires off of the heating element. The heat press frame edges were very rough and somewhat rusted and dirty as if this thing was sitting somewhere out in the open, then assembled eith new parts, and packages. Little bits of dust, rust, and flakes got all over me when I removed it from the box. Trying not to be wasteful by sending the entire large and heavy unit back, I reached out to Vevor to report the issues and requested a replacement of the bad screw and the large mug heating element. What followed was an exercise in incompetence, frustration, and a clear effort to have me run out the return clock. I provided pictures up front showing the problems, but Vevor support felt it necessary to ask for more pictures of other parts on the press which weren't even related to any of the issues. Every day for a week there was back and forth with them asking for things that made no sense, and at one point they told me the damaged cable was fine and I could still use it. When I objected and pointed out the absurdity of their handling of these issues and what a complete waste of time it was dealing with them over-complicating things, they resorted to asking for 24 - 48 hours, multiple times, and each time coming back with nonsense or requests for yet another 24 - 48 hours. I didn't even mention the frame issue since it was just cosmetic, all they needed to do was send me a screw and the large mug heating element. After getting the runaround for a week, I decided to initiate a return since this it was made clear Vevor was only interested in wasting my time. This coukd have been handled much better, and less expensively, without having to disassemble, re-pack, and return the unit. One other issue I didn't mention to them is that the buttons on the controller are designed poorly where when you push them, they depress underneath the surface of the enclosure and get stuck, requiring you to fiddle with them to get them to pop out. The last annoying issue with this unit is that the bottom half of the heat bed slides out past the end of the handle, trapping it beneath the head where it then gets caught when you try to slide the heat bed back in, requiring you to fiddle around underneath to pull it down so it doesn't block the head bed from re-inserting. Some of these issues are just bad design, and some are just indicative of poor quality. Hopefully the replacement unit will be better enough, I will definitely update my review either way once I receive the replacement.

I love this thing!! It’s sometimes difficult to get hoodies and other things in because of the slim profile. However utilizing tools helps. Piece of wood or plastic to push clothes through, etc. does well. Ensure you purchase parchment paper. Utilize lots of table or flat surface space. I build a rolling stand with a sliding weeding surface directly under the press. Check out photo.

The instructions manual for assembly is horrible. Not specific enough with written instruction, everything is by pictures and pictures are horrible quality.
