Seems to heat and press good. The problem I have is when you slide out the platen, it hits the handle and it's difficult to close. you need to reach under and pull down on the handle which can make your shirt move if you are not careful. As a complete beginner to sublimation, I was nervous about jumping into a heat press—but this VEVOR model made it easy. Setup was straightforward thanks to clear instructions and a simple control panel. I was able to press my very first T-shirt with success on the first try! The machine heats evenly and quickly, and the 15x15 size gives me plenty of room to work on larger designs. I haven’t even used all 8 attachments yet, but it’s nice knowing I can expand into hats, mugs, and more as I gain confidence. The build quality feels solid, and it doesn’t take up as much space as I feared. For the price, this is an amazing entry point into sublimation and heat transfer projects. I'm already planning more custom gifts and apparel!

Last year I purchased a swing arm Vevor heat press (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLLLFMFH) for my wife as a Christmas gift. When I was offered this one, I thought it would be good to compare the two as they have similar features. In this model, the primary difference is the incorporation of a "pull out" plate. this means the heating element is fixed and does not move. From a safety perspective, this seems like an improvement because it makes accidental contact with the heating surface less likely. It also makes the whole unit lower profile. The downside to this design is that it's easier to tip over due to leverage if you lean on it while placing the material on it. I don't think it's a likely scenario, because the whole unit has quite a bit of weight to it. It's probably no different than the swing arm being off to the side, but my current heat press is mounted onto a rollable workstation and simply loosing your balance could lead to the entire thing tipping over. The swing arm model of the Vevor heat press came with suction cup feet to help keep it in place. I'm sad to see that those aren't included on this model. The frame of the heat press does have holes you can use to mount it to a surface, which I would recommend if you plan on using it in the same place all the time. Another difference is the fact that the temperature control box is not mounted to the unit itself. this is useful when using the additional accessories like the hat or mug press. You can actually use these devices further away from the press itself simply by taking the control box with you. The hat press on this model is completely separate, whereas on the swing arm model, you had to mount it to the press frame. This is good for portability, but doesn't apply consistent even pressure like you would get using the lever arm of the press. I think the convenience outweighs that drawback however. This unit comes with 4 different sizes of mug presses. this is an improvement over the model I bought a year ago. The additional mug press size easily handles taller tumblers and such. the whole mug press unit required it's own assembly which took a bit of time, but wasn't difficult. Speaking of assembly, the only thing to assemble on the main heat press were the 3 handles. Two fixed handles, and the one swing arm press handle. Assembly was much more difficult than you would expect because the screw holes were smaller than they should have been to easily thread the bolts into. I ended up using an impact drill to get them installed because the screwdriver they provided just couldn't cut it. There is an adjustment knob on the front of the base that can be used to set the pressure applied when using the press. It can be hard to use however, because it is located so low on the unity that it almost touches the countertop and you can't get your hand all the way around it. It can be a bit stiff, which makes adjusting it more difficult than it should be. My wife and I had discussed taking a heat press with us to craft shows and such to print and make shirts onsite. I think if we do that, this is the model we would choose to do it with. It's easier to carry because of the low profile design. Also, since the hat and mug presses can be used without the main press, it's possible to just take those with us instead. I simply wised they had added bigger feet to the unit to raise the control knob up a bit and used suction cup feet on it like the other models they offered. Other than that, I'd say its a decent upgrade.

I love to customize my own hats, mugs, tshirts, etc. This product does everything I need it to do, and more. The machine was very easy to put together. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. All of the items you will need to operate/set up the machine is included. It is very user friendly as far as the controls are concerned. The temperature and length of time are easily set. The machine heats up in less than 5 minutes. I personally have made both tshirts and hats on the press. I found that switching between the hat press and the tshirt press was a little time consuming, especially the first time. It took me around 20 minutes to switch everything over. The process was not difficult, just time consuming. I did find that the socket wrench that was provided (L shape) was a bit of a pain to use, as the machine handle gets in the way when turning. Although I appreciate that the tool was provided, I ended up purchasing another socket wrench that looks similar to a regular screw driver. The machine cools down very quickly, which is great. It also will automatically shut off after 15 minutes if not used. Overall this is a great machine, and I would highly recommend it!

If you need a heat press to make shirts or tumblers this is the one you want. It has multifunctional abilities and is very easy to use. The price is pretty reasonable for the amount of equipment you get with this. The heat press is very easy to use and easy to adjust what you are making. I recommend not changing the tools while they are hot and to let them cool completely.

I had never used a heat press or anything like this before, but it was very interesting to learn and see how it worked. It was pretty easy to put together, and the instructions were clear enough. It is REALLY heavy, so I struggled a bit when initially putting it on my table and moving it around. The actual pressing was reliable. At first, it was a little awkward since the lever was in front of the shirt, but I eventually got used to it. The size was also good enough for the prints I mostly used. It heated up pretty fast. It took around 30 minutes to fully cool down from the standard setting. Using the press was very satisfying. I also used the hat press, and it also worked reliably. It wasn't as satisfying to press, but it also worked. Having all the different options and sizes is a really good value. Overall, it feels like a quality heat press that will last a very long time. I would recommend it.
