First, no clue what the other reviewer was smoking while assembling this. The instructions were simple with each piece, bolt, and nut labelled. Heck, there is even a video right here showing each step. It took me less than an hour by myself to assemble! Also, not sure where he gets his dimensions from, as I clearly read 84.7". Perhaps he confuses width with height. As for the machine itself, it is worth every penny. If you tighten all the bolts it is super solid and does not wobble or shake. The pins are very thick. The only part I don't care for is the squat bar thing. However, I don't intend to use this for squatting. I will use it for all forms of bench presses, shoulder pressed, and for the cable pulls. What really matters to me is this is spotter free. Me and my teenagers can lift to failure and I don't have to worry about anyone crushing their skulls or necks. For ~$300 on sale it is worth every penny to me!

I felt compelled to write this review even before I used the product. The lever gym arrived by Amazon freight truck in one box. The box, however was damaged and the frame of the gym had scratches in a few places as well as the blister pack of hardware being compromised. I was able to retrieve any loose hardware that exited the pack but the pulleys for the cable system had plastic bushings that were lightly press fitted into each side. One set of bushings was lost in transit. Although customer service was very responsive, obtaining a replacement of ten cents worth of plastic bushings has been laborious. After requesting replacement bushings, I was required to provide photos and the Amazon order number. After sending that I then received a message that the company could not locate the order and required a copy of my invoice. I’m still waiting for the part. The assembly instructions are nearly useless. The text at times makes no sense. There’s even a warning to keep the electronic screen away from water. There is no electronic screen. The diagrams are small and poorly printed so it’s difficult to determine which bolt goes where. The hardware numbering system requires a CIA code breaker to decipher. The advertised fifteen minute assembly time with a partially assembled frame is simply untrue. Everything is in pieces and will take hours to assemble due to the lack of instructions. The listed height of 53.5 inches is incorrect. The upper pulley arm is about seven feet high. The big problem is in the advertisement’s claim of a 165 pound per arm weight capacity while stating that the total capacity is 265 pounds. I questioned this and the company stated that each arm can hold 165 pounds but you can only load one arm with this weight. The other arm must be empty. Although I haven’t tried this, I would worry that the product would tip over. The true weight limit for each arm is about 132 pounds. Each weight horn is held to the arm with two bolts that don’t appear particularly heavy duty but are stamped with metric 8.8 which is a high rating. I replaced them with 12.9 bolts and will weld the horn brackets to the arms for added safety. There are hooks welded to the top arm probably intended to park the lat pull-down bar, however, the hooks are at such an angle that the bar will roll down the back of the machine if not attached to the cable. If it weren’t for the sale price I purchased this at I would have returned it. I’ll do some extra work at that price to make it what I want it to be. I would, however, recommend that anyone else spend more and get more by purchasing a better product, such as the Powertec lever gym. Wish I did.
