I got this winch on sale for like 234 out the door. The controls were unconventionally mounted; instead of the plate/bracket bolting to the winch, the controls were sitting on a 45' weird angled bracket that I would assume mounts on your vehicle somewhere. Like the back wall/bumper behind your winch. The pictures do not show this. They make it look like it is mounted on top of the winch. So, I drilled out some metal stock I had, made a new 90' bracket, and modified the receiver mount winch plate I'm using to be able to mount the controls on top. 5 stars because this was the cheapest option by about 50 dollars, so Im not bothered by the modifications needed. I already had the metal, and the paint. If you want the controls to mount on top of the winch, like most of them do, then spend more money and dont get this. But for a 12000lb truck winch, this things pretty sweet. I also replaced the "2awg" aluminum wiring, with 4awg OFC wire. Yes, physically it is downsizing but scientifically it is upsizing. 4awg carries as much current as 1awg aluminum, with less heat. EDIT: Added pics to explain what the heck I was talking about. 2 pieces of 1/8" thick 1.5" wide steel bar welded to the back of the receiver mount (cut to fit around receiver tube), 1 piece of random angle 4" wide (really thin, half of a 4" thin wall square tube sliced diagonally), holes drilled for controls, holes drilled on bars, painted, found a couple random bolts/nuts, done. Looks like it was supposed to be there, and its floating so you dont have to wrap up the rope that well.

I am not happy. I ordered this expecting a new product but there were clear signs of wear and stickers that were missing and another that was peeling due to being in the elements. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but my guess is that it has an issue if it was returned after being used. Not good, Vevor.

I’ve had minor use with this but it seems to hold up and resistant to water, haven’t gone though a car wash yet. Seem to cause to drain on my battery
