The media could not be loaded. Garbage! Stopped working after 3rd time out. Contacted their customer support and they wanted me to open the lower unit and work on it myself instead of them doing it. After I opened the unit it was corroded and full of rust! It says “Salt water use” but I wouldn’t even trust it in fresh water. Would not recommend this item, just another overseas piece of junk! Go for the Newport Or Mini Kota it'll save you a headache.

I have been using this on a 8' dinghy. Certainly not going to win any races with it, but does the job of getting to shore and exploring around anchorages. I'd give it 5 stars, but it does have a problem with the speed control, which is that the power cuts out between the #2 and #3 levels. Not trouble enough to return, but it is irritating. Probably an issue only on my unit.

Had one in the boat shop. All the guys agreed it felt super cheap. Had considered trying to be a dealer for it, but definitely not after seeing it. I keep seeing people ask about it in boat forums so thought I would write a review. The plastic material felt flimsy and definitely will break soon especially with uv exposure. Performance was not impressive either when it came to gps functions. Steering sounds gritty. There is a cheaper GPS motor system that is built much better. Also an affordable universal gps adapter kit that converts motors and is gaining popularity. This Vevor is just too close in price to higher quality Minn Kota when they go on sale. Pretty sure Vevor just slapped their name on this generic cheapo Chinese motor. Us guys are pretty sure we found the same motor source in China. I just wouldn’t want our brand connected to it. Only thing attractive from a distance was the price. Then when you see it and hold it the attractiveness wears off fast. I like many other Vevor products. We have many Vevor tools. We even have a diesel heater for ice shack from Vevor. Just cannot recommend this Vevor product. Giving 2 stars because when it fails you can still use it as a boat anchor….just tie rope to it and huck it in!

I’m very disappointed in this product, having used vevor products before with reasonable quality i expected this to be no different. I have used this trolling motor once and it no longer works. When connected to power it will not power on at all after dying in the middle of its first trip. The description also claims it has an aluminum shaft, but after its one and only use the shaft has began to rust. I am waiting to see if the company will attempt to make it right.
