This unit replaced a tankless Rheem Water Heater in a small two bathroom house. The old Rheem unit this VEVOR Water Heater replaced didn't go for KW but BTU to indicate how much power the heater outputs, but regardless we did the calculation with the chart included in the listing and after installing it we tried running the two showers and a faucet in the kitchen in Texas late-fall weather (low 60s) and we got sustained hot water 95% of the time with some drops here and there, but shutting the faucet or one of the showers would make the other running streams scalding hot. This unit is significantly smaller and lighter (weight-wise) as compared to the Rheem unit it replaced, but that one was probably 12-15 years old and although we tend to compare weight with durability due to thicker components, wiring and heating elements in this particular case, i would have to compare it to a modern, better known brand when it comes to weight. We managed to install it ourselves, i have a little bit of background on construction so i knew what i was doing but since we're mixing water and electricity i'd recommend a professional for the installation, HOWEVER installation was as simple as it gets if you're the handy type. We did check the Orange Home Improvement store for the 18KW Rheem unit this would compare to and it's $500+, so this one is literally 1/2.5 the price, if it lasts say 4-5 years it'll be a big win, after all big brands like Rheem can be a little tricky with their 10 year warranty, where they come back and say, "oh its 10 years on the heat exchanger, everything else only had 2 years of warranty, but they usually last 5+ years. The adjustment on the fly for temperature output is as simple as it gets, it's up, down or off, saves energy, saves money and it's just simple, i love it. You can't beat the price to performance ratio. If something goes wrong along the road i'll come to update this review, but so far, so good. ... show more

I got this VEVOR Electric Tankless Water Heater, 18KW Instant Hot Water Heater, Digital Temperature Display & Easy Installation & 24-Hour Water Supply, For Kitchen Bathroom Shower for my 5th wheel RV. My hot water tank and pump etc was stolen out of my RV so I decided to try the tankless instead. I will never go back to a tank again. I don't even know why they would make anything with them anymore when they have tankless. These are so nice because you literally have hot water for as long as you have water. You don't have to stop the shower. You can stay showering for an hour if you want to. That makes it so nice. That was the worst thing about living in an RV. Was taking a shower and having to shut the water off, soap up, then turn the water back on and rinse off. No longer is that a problem! I highly recommend this Vevor instant hot water heater to anyone that likes taking long showers!! Definitely a two thumbs up from me. ... show more

Vevor is one of those brands where it seems they make a large variety of appliances that are later sold under other brand names. I have a portable fridge they make that's useful for long car rides or for storing medications, etc. It works great so I expect this to work great, too. Compared to similar tankless water heaters, this one is a very good value for what it outputs. It should be enough to sustain hot water for a small household. I have a household of just two people with two bathrooms and one kitchen so it's plenty for that! Installation-wise...if you're very handy you might be able to do this yourself. I was converting from an old gas tank to this electric tankless so I had a pro do it. I had to change my venting for it, which was an added cost I think is worth it. Thank goodness I installed this before the storm! It is somehow allowing me to be able to use my one bathroom when all other water orifices are frozen! This thing is great. It allows instant hot water and takes less than 20 minutes to hook up. (And saves you in very cold temps!)

After finally getting this set up, I can say installation was relatively easy if you know how to plumb using PVC and basic home electrical. I tapped into the main lines going into the master bath (cut & capped the hot, T-fitted the cold into the unit, passed the heated outlet back into the hot line) and mounted the unit at the base of the closest wall. As for function, this unit delivered as promised. We used this in our upstairs master bath to supplement a gas hot water tank that our three girls regularly run cold on us. Additionally, during the winter, our master bath is the furthest possible from the garage-based hot water tank and therefore takes a long time to get hot water delivered all the way to the master shower & cast-iron tub. Disclaimer: I received this item for free from the Vine program. I didn't get paid for the review and, in fact, I Pay 45% in Federal and State Income Taxes for each item. I apologize for not including pictures, but I have a genetic trait that causes my hands to shake. I'm a 74 yo widow living by myself in a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home. Sitting in my garage, which has 6-inch insulated walls and ceilings, there is a 50-gallon electric water heater without any programmable features. I don't use much hot water and, after doing some quick research, it would be electricity-wise cheaper for me to switch to an 18KW VEVOR Electric Tankless Water Heater for my hot water needs. My house is newer and the power and wiring requirements are already there. I won't be able to get the installation done until January 2024 but I'm looking forward to using a smarter way of heating water. My existing water heater will be donated to a non-profit agency that will find a new home for it. ... show more
