    • Great if connected correctly.
This is a good product. I have one complaint and a resolution.. The female connected from the water input line does not seal and will leak water when connected to a male coupler. I cut of the female connector end and purchased a push connector from Lowes. Issue solved and working great.

Late review. Bought it a year ago. Works well. Side note that is not product related: make sure you're manually disconnecting your line to the ice maker when not in use. I flooded my laundry room because the water feed wasn't shut off. You can find shut off valves at any hardware store or on Amazon.

    • Save your money, buy a better product
Worked great for about 6 months. We were notified by the water department that our water usage was about 80 gallons an hour, he said it was probably a toilet running all the time. We were given test strips to check water flow, all three were good. We then checked the ice maker in the pantry and it was running constantly. The only way to stop it was to unplug it and turn the water off. We did not hear it running because it was in the pantry with the door closed. Our water bill is $16.00 a month. The last bill was over $100.00. I submitted a claim thru the Amazon site and have heard nothing for over a month. I just called Asurion and was told there was no claim submitted, going thru the claim process on the Amazon site is not a good idea, call Asurion directly. ... show more

Got this for our business and it's been going strong for months. Only complaint is there isn't a scoop holder.

    • Ice and lots of it
This maker makes ice and makes it in large quantities. If that's the goal, it has succeeded. I have installed mine in my laundry room, tapping into the water supply line from the washing machine with no issues. Unfortunately, with it being lower (and requiring a water discharge) than the discharge height, I had to install an HVAC condensate pump to assist. For those looking at this, please keep in mind that it does not recycle water back into the pump system. As the ice melts, it drains out and new water is brought in. I will likely replace the water purifier with a more universal fitting one soon. From a making standpoint, it makes a tray (36ea 3/4" cubes) every 15minutes. The density of these can be adjusted by adding/subtracting time on the screen. It does not make pellet or chewable ice, but it does make large quantities. I would recommend a smaller metal ice scoop over the installed plastic one that is included. The one included is large and takes up a majority of the room within the ice box. A smaller metal one would be more suited for breaking up the ice. ... show more

    • Cheap connecting parts means you'll likely have to spend additional money not such a great value
This is a pretty cheaply made product but having an ice maker at home is pure luxury. If you want restaurant style drinks at home, and hate refrigerator ice as much as I do, then this little machine could be a good option. I bought this one because it fit into the opening of the sunken bar of my midcentury home. One thing that is not made clear is that you NEED a floor drain, fortunately I was able to put one in. Secondly the parts (water filter, connectors; etc.) are CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP! You will likely need to buy new parts to attach or hire a professional to properly install them. The drainage hose will require a hose clamp at bare minimum. The plastic hose is so cheap, I would also highly recommend replacing it unless it's outside or somewhere water would damage the floor. The "water filter" seems like an empty plastic bottle. Also the plastic tubing provided is very unlikely to be BPA free. Plan on doing a little retrofitting if you do buy this. ... show more
