This maker makes ice and makes it in large quantities. If that's the goal, it has succeeded. I have installed mine in my laundry room, tapping into the water supply line from the washing machine with no issues. Unfortunately, with it being lower (and requiring a water discharge) than the discharge height, I had to install an HVAC condensate pump to assist. For those looking at this, please keep in mind that it does not recycle water back into the pump system. As the ice melts, it drains out and new water is brought in. I will likely replace the water purifier with a more universal fitting one soon. From a making standpoint, it makes a tray (36ea 3/4" cubes) every 15minutes. The density of these can be adjusted by adding/subtracting time on the screen. It does not make pellet or chewable ice, but it does make large quantities. I would recommend a smaller metal ice scoop over the installed plastic one that is included. The one included is large and takes up a majority of the room within the ice box. A smaller metal one would be more suited for breaking up the ice. ... show more

Updated again. Seller takes over 72 hours to recommend a solution and then it is not successful. Was supposed to send a new silenoid and sent a ice full switch instead. Was able to get it working without their help but it once again has died and I can't get anything more than an automated email from them. At first I thought this was a value but after a week, it stopped dropping ice. I followed all the limited troubleshooting and everything checked out. Put the ice as thin as it could be and it worked again for about an hour but then froze up again. Only way to contact vevor is email or chat. I did both but chat just directed me to email and said I'd hear back in 24/48 hours. So right now a 1 star and we'll see how we'll customer service does. Another day and no response. A new machine that doesn't work and no communication from the vendor. Finally heard back day 5. They're are shipping a part from China. Said I should get the tracking number in 10 to 15 days. Lesson learned about Vevor. I would assume most companies would just replace the whole unit and then refurbish the return. And to boot, looks like I will need to install the part myself. Amazon shows a return option. Might have to check that out. Just not looking forward to trying to box the machine up. ... show more

Price is good. Before this machine I bought a household ice maker that served mildew and mold from tank reusing dirty water melted from ice made. Broke down tried to fix but stopped when I seen the gross mess. The vevor ice maker has line in and out. 70 lb a day I easly believe cleaning processes, procedures for all functions. 12 to 17 min per tray of ice that's your decision. The scoope is large. I got a smaller 1. It is a bit of a waterfall sound when making ice, but fills up quick enough that it's quite most the day. Love it. ... show more

Most of these machines come in damaged, so expect yours to come damaged. If you’re looking into this machine, I have received one there was no installation in the lid on the top in previous models. They were insulated. I don’t know why this one didn’t come insulated but no having insulation also makes the top even weaker, so keep an eye out for that other than that the machine functions and makes ice as it should ... show more
