I'm not a coffee connoisseur, so all coffee tastes pretty much the same to me. Some family members have a more refined palate, and say this is pretty good coffee but not as good as Nespresso brand. The only complaint I have is the pod design does not seal well at the flange, which allows water to drip through and eventually fill the catch basin. ... show more

First of all ,price wise, this was a great deal at $45 for 80 pods. Secondly they taste great! Or at least the two Ive tried so far. I ordered last night and they arrived this morning just in time for breakfast. I was going to get Nespresso brand as I have been using up the pods we had. Then I came across this and I'm glad I went for it. The Nespresso brand were only good ristretto in my opinion otherwise it lost all flavor. Not so with these. My husband and I were interested in trying out a variety of pods that can be used with our Nespresso original machine. We were hoping to find some less expensive options than the Nespresso brand pods, without sacrificing taste. This variety pack turned out to be a great way of trying different types by this company. As soon as we received it, we made a cup of each of the four varieties included. That enabled us to contrast and compare each one. While we do like dark roast coffees, we found the Nerissimo espresso to be way too bitter for us (it's rated #11 on the intensity scale). We were surpised to find that we actually liked the medium roast Ricchezza (rated #8) the best. It has a wonderful full-bodied flavor with sweet undertones that we found very pleasant for our early morning coffee. My husband didn’t like any of the other three flavors, finding them too bitter. However, for me the Crema Scura was my next favorite (intensity #9). It satisfies that occasional desire for something stronger, more intense, without being too bitter. We’ll keep them all for friends who come over and want a nice intense, dark roasted espresso. If you want to try out espressos in different intensities, I recommend this pack.
