I installed the cooktop myself and got the electrical connections WRONG the first time. I was disappointed that the burners did not get red hot, but this was MY FAULT. The wires on the unit are marked but the wires in my wall/box were different than expected. For anyone reading this, be sure to research proper wiring connections before installing. Reconnecting the wires properly allowed for immediate heating and HOT burners. Things I love are the easy to use control panel and easy cleanup. Just dropped it into place, wired it up (twice in my case), and got to cooking on a sleek, well designed cooktop.

I was skeptical of this stove top, especially at an extremely inexpensive price. I will be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised. It was very simple to install, and it is very easy to use. IMHO, it gets very hot and is definitely comparable to our old Whirlpool stove top. I cannot comment on the longevity of the stove top since I have only owned it for 3–4 weeks. But I can say it works and it works good.

I was excited to use my new cook top. I looks really sleek and I like the functionality, but to my disappointment, it took forever to boil water. I put about 3/4 liters of water in a pot and after an hour, it still did not start to boil. I had to use my emergency gas stove to finish cooking. I would not recommend it to anyone. It does not turn orange red when in use. I am in the process of packing it up to be returned to Amazon. I ordered a new cook top (different brand). I hope I won't be disappointed.

If you’re installing it yourself make sure that the wires are properly connected. Had to reconnect the wires since I did it wrong the first time and it wasn’t heating properly. Not a bad stovetop. I use a lot of heavy skillets so naturally, it doesnt get as hot, but I think this is common with electric stovetops. Would recommend caulking around the top to avoid over-spills if boiling foods like rice or spaghetti. Otherwise, the water will likely drain underneath. It was pretty easy to install. For the price, it gets the job done. I would recommend it!
